i got the same e-mail last week. What country is your spouse from, and did they actually give u a date?
they just deferred ours , and told us they would follow up.. so heart breaking

we are from El Salvador yes they gave us the date and place and told us to confirmed in 7 days

Sorry to hear that , however this is your chance to make your case .
Make sure your applicant knows all the date and names you included in your application , they will ask questions about things you submitted in your application .
double check your app and see if there is any potential red flags and prepare to address them .

If you have time maybe you can order the GCMS note to figure out what prompted the Interview

Well you got a date and time to just review all and every item in your aplication together, just take
a lot of proff and evidence with you, speack the thru all the time, keep in mind all dates, and theres
nothing to worry about it when you speack the thru, good luck and sending our prayers

Good luck with the interview! It is nice to see that it is moving forward, stay positive ! I applied in December and still did not get AOR2, only still have the First line on the PR side. File was transferred to Mexico end of February, at this point although not ideal I would like to get an interview just so I see progress !!!

Thank you everyone for the good vibes ...

this is so frustrating, since my partner has no status in USA, if they say no and we have to appeal there is no way for him to come back to the states or Canada.

We have no problem showing that our relationship is genuine, but i've read so many things in the forums about applications getting denied at the interview for so many reasons.

and i thing our big red flag is that we are still married to our previous husb/wife and we have send the documentation regarding the divorces getting process and proof of why they were not successful, but i am scared they will say NO and that we need to wait until the divorces are finalize to appeal or re apply .

the letter said that if the sponsor is not able to attend i should be ready for a phone interview that day, and also in we have a good reason to not attend to this appointment if we can let them know..... i wonder if i send them a letter with this information if they will consider to interview my partner over the phone and if can go to the Embassy for the interview

has anyone read anything in other forums regarding changes in interviews or anything like this ?

We recieved a letter for remedicals today....has anyone been asked to renew them right before PPR, his medicals are expiring on friday and we just Send ARC so we are assuming the interview was waived since ARC is one of the last steps so i really thought they would just extend them, well no.
Is this a bad sign that we have alot of more waiting to.do? :'(

I was reading about another applicant somewhere in this forum with similar situation to yours ( both still married to other people ) and they were approved under common law , the PA was refugee claimant in Canada and returned to Mexico .

I think your best bet is the phone interview, since they mentioned the possibility.

Can you outline exactly what do you need, to send the police certificate document. How long did you take to get the police certificate document, and how did you go about requesting one? Any challenges?

Yes it was very easy.. There is a website from the PGR: it doesn't let me paste any link here.. But just google "Constancia de datos registrales en México" and you will see the PGR website with all the information.
It says exactly what you will need to bring to apply for the police certificate. It also says that it take 10 business days to be ready, but is not really true. I got mine in 3 business days. Then I took it to be translated and certified.

I received COPR three weeks after remed request. Interview was waived. Medical must be valid to enter Canada, safe to say you will get PPR soon! Congrats!!

This is now 4 weeks I have been waiting for passport to be returned... My friend sent hers after me and already got it back!! Not sure the hold up! It seems like it's the same person signing for everyone's passports, so safe to say they know it's there!!!

Besides my husband sent an email and they said two to three weeks to get it returned...... And we got that email on the third week!
