I Just sent the police certificate to the VO in Mexico City and paid the PErmanet resident fee. So fingers crossed to get some news from them soon.

Can you outline exactly what do you need, to send the police certificate document. How long did you take to get the police certificate document, and how did you go about requesting one? Any challenges?

I just got a Spousal Sponsorship approved for my husband in Nicaragua on April 5th and his visa will expire May 9th. I'm sending his passport today to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico and am wondering if he needs a transit visa to go through the US as there are no direct flights to Canada and there is a layover in Miami.

Awesome congrats... When did you guys applied? We received ours on the same day and sent it out the next day hehe visa expires on August 17. Yes he will need a transit visa.. It would be best to fly from El Salvador or Panama.. We found direct flights with Avianca and Copa airlines leaving from those countries to Canada without any connections in the US

I can finalllly say it... we got PPR!!

only problem is... we just sent my husbands passport yesterday for his visitor visa to be issued LOL.. this never ends!!!

Yay congrats.. Oh uh oh.. Notify them that the passport is on its way to be stamped with a visitors visa and maybe they can contact them and tell them to stamp the PR visa instead.. They are giving 30 days to notify them of any reason why the passport can't be sent with in that period..

that's exactly what I did!! I emailed them as soon as we got the email!
I'm assuming they will just send back the passport with the visitor visa stamp.. since they are requesting 2 photos and confirmation of address to be sent for PR.
Worst case scenario, he will get his passport next week with VV, enter as a visitor, then immediately send passport back to Mexico for Pr!

Oh sweet awesome... Oh ok.. But I think they would want him to re-enter as a PR to do the landing.. I think I saw someone posted a similar case..

Ricaldine, does your timeline include sponsorship approval time as well? On 3/3/2015 - if i understand correctly you gave both sponsorship and principal applicant forms?

I'm sorry I have no idea what that means . Our criminal record check we sent in from El Salvador from the time we submitted our application . I don't know if you are speaking of a check for mexican residents which does not apply to our application .
