Thanks SO much for your timeline information. I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS btw!!! it's SO exciting!

We also have a bullet proof application I feel. I didn't realize it was gonna take 12 weeks to get that golden email as you call it :-)

I noticed your timeline and I sent my application on April 13. I received AOR2 on September 28 and now my file is in process since November 10. Where is your spouse from… If you don't mind me asking?

I know Mexico VO deals with 17 countries and DR being the newest one.
Thanks!!!

Good morning Live1001,

Thank you!! ;)

From Venezuela!

Hope this week brings good news for you and everybody!

Lets pray for PPR's to come really soon.

Wish you all the best! :)

Good morning all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Just wanted to inform everyone that I have added a new spreadsheet called "VO Processing Data" to the others which shows data related to Spousal application processing by the Mexico City VO. Included with the data is the link to the CIC website from where the data was extracted, so that you can go explore the full data set. I pulled out and posted in the spreadsheet only the "Spousal/Partner" data. It covers the period January to March 2015 and includes the following data;

# of;
Applications Received
Approved
Refused
Withdrawn
Total Processed
Approval Rate excluding Withdrawn and Non-Elegible
Non-Elegible
CoPR Issued

Again, just to put things into perspective, our spreadsheet shows 16 applicants who submitted applications during that time. The spreadsheet shows that the Mission received 475 applications during that 3 month period. That's 158 "spousal-only" applications per month. (not including Children, Other, Parents and Grandparents applications, nor all other visa classes) So if you wonder why there seems to be no activity out of the Visa Office from time to time its because the VO is working on the "other" 99+% of the applications that have been submitted.

Speedy processing everyone!

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could confirm when I need to get my police certifcates for my pr application. Is it before I send in my initial application or after I have been approved in principal and I get instructed to from CIC ? If I understand correctly it is after my wife is AIP then I send my requests. I only ask because my wife's friend has us second guessing ourselves. Thanks in advance.

Hi Stuckduck and Welcome to the forum :)
My understanding is that it depends on which country she is from. Mexico applicants can not submit it until you receive the formal request from the Mexico Visa Office which will be after the sponsor is approved and after the Visa office have started the process, I think other countries like Venezuela and Chile you should send it in right away when you submit your application.

Speedy processing everyone!!

Hi there! I don't know your nationality but I'm Chilean and I can confirm that you have to present police certificate upfront and a driver's record upfront as well if she/he is from Chile.
Cheers!

Our passport arrived in Mexico today. Here's hoping everything goes smoothly there. Hooray!!

Excellent news! Congratulations!

Hello ya'll.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I being checking this forum lately and I couldn't find some one that has a case similar to mine, so here I am asking if someone has a similar case to mine

My wife was granted her PR in November 2nd. I was added to her application as spouse from the beggining. As I right now I live in Mexico and since my wife was granted her PR almost a month has past and Mexico CIC hasn't getting in contact with me, for what I read online and CIC Etobicoke confirmed to my wife, is that once she received her PR i should be granted a PR visa to enter Canada.
My question to you all is, Does anyone knows how long Mexico CIC takes to contact the applicants ? as a matter of fact, does anyone knows how long it takes to Mexico CIC to grant the PR Visa ?

Thank you very much

I don't know about us... :(

I got Passport Request today!!! I cant believe it, I was hoping I will get it until January but I was wrong. I hope more people get it very soon.

Congratulations to all the other couples that got the same in the last couple of weeks.

Any experiences of sending passport from Canada? If I am in Canada how I can do the landing, should I just go to the US border and come back to Canada? Any comments will be appreciated.

Good luck for everybody!
