My husband has to wait till Monday to send his passport cause FedEx is closed on the weekends, so we will send it then. I really hope everyone's applications move along quickly!!

Thanks for the information Abuelita. We are in Manzanillo. do you know if thy can accept a scan of the PGR report via email and send a certified translated copy back to us? Would it have to be couriered?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I figure with your name you most likely were in Manzanillo. Do you mean emailing a scanned copy to the translator? I really don't know, but why don't you give him a call or email him. This is the email address stated in the translation documents: traduccion.df@gmail.com

I had sent all my documents via courier. It is expensive, but I have been worried about loosing documents on the way.

Thank you for the information, I guess I have to find out because as far as a I know the embassy will do that for you but if you apply inbound and because I did it outboud I was wondering if they will do the same for me or maybe will be easier to send the fingerprints, the pictures and the carta poder to my mom so she can get it for me and I also heard that way is faster. I dont know what to do I guess I just have to try to do it that way when the time comes and if it is not possible I will try it the other way lol.

I traveled to Mexico (I had other things to deal with anyway)--I have heard in this forum that the transactions via the Embassy was taking three months, or so. At the PGR I was told that my transaction would take 10 days, in less than that time I got an email letting me know that the letter was ready to be picked up. The day I went to do the transaction, in the line was a lady who mentoned that she had done the transaction for her daughter who was in Canada. She had submitted copies of the finger prints, a carta poder, etc., and the transaction had taken about 10 days.

Thanks Abuelita! I will contact them in DF and yes will courier documents as well. I don't want to risk losing anything either.

México hasmu husband's police certificate now!!! Hopefully things go fast from here!!

Just wondering during if anyone knows about the visa requirements for the US? We would have to travel through Houston so I think we would have to apply for a transit visa for him? Is that right or will him going through there to land in Canada be all he needs to prove with his passport?

If y'all would like toy avoid travelling thru the U.S. Y'all can travel thru Salvador... From San Pedro to Salvador and from Salvador to Toronto with Avianca

No he didn't have one it was waived! Roatan is so beautiful we went there on our honeymoon

Mexico received my husband's passport today according to FedEx. I do not recommend sending documents when there's a long weekend, there was a hold up in Miami because of the holiday so we had to wait an extra couple of days.
