Found this data in another Gov of Canada spreadsheet;

So, the Mexico City VO issued 1294 COPRs in 2014. approx 108 per month. Once again this reinforces the fact that our spreadsheet represents a small fraction of the total number of Spousal applications that the VO is processing... so if we wonder why there are periods with no news, this helps to appreciate why.

The good news? We have an 87% chance of an approval!

CIC needs to hire more officers in order to reunite families more quickly!

Permanent Residents for 2014
All Destinations - Spouses & Partners (Persons)

Hello CANzanillo thank you for helping me to get my information into the spreadsheet, I updated it and I hope it is correct, if you need something else let me know.

Welcome Jessica! Glad to have you here. I would be happy to add you to the spreadsheet. Thanks for sharing your timeline with our little, or perhaps, big family here. Please fill in the following formato as detailed as possible and I will add you. I may have a question or 2 to clarify your information.

I am not the most qualified to answer your question about getting fingerprints in Toronto, other to say I'm pretty sure you can. Someone will surely chime in here to answer your question. As another option, if you go back some pages in this forum I believe there has been some discussion about that topic. You are not the only applicant who applied outland but is in Canada with your spouse. ;)

Speedy Processing!

Thank you for the information, I guess I have to find out because as far as a I know the embassy will do that for you but if you apply inbound and because I did it outboud I was wondering if they will do the same for me or maybe will be easier to send the fingerprints, the pictures and the carta poder to my mom so she can get it for me and I also heard that way is faster. I dont know what to do I guess I just have to try to do it that way when the time comes and if it is not possible I will try it the other way lol.

I found this post from last month;

Hi Lovely Complex,

I did take the fingerprints here in canada is $100 for 2 copies, then you have to take passport pictures 3 front and 3 right side no makeup no earrings nothing, here the price is $60 so I will better bring the pictures from Mexico, and then just your passport photocopy. Then, since the finger prints are in a big folder and cant be fold you will need to pay DHL Or fedex $100 to send it to Mexico, here you can see all details of what you need for the crimanl record if you are in Canada. There is no need of any prove of address or carta poder..... I am in the process of that at this moment and this is what the embassy sent me cause they do the procedure for you.

Please provide the following original police certificate for you:
Federal Police Certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Registrales) issued by the Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) *Mexican state police certificates will not be accepted.
To obtain the Federal police certificate issued by the PGR an official signed letter is being sent via e- mail today.
For more information, please visit:
AND

If you live outside Mexico, please visit:

Good luck!!!

Thank you for your help, I will find out the price I guess that is the easiest part lol

Hello, in regard with the PGR police record you should go to take the fingerprints to the local police or to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), I personally recommend the last option. The process is very simple, and normally the process takes 1 - 3 days. I don't remember if it cost money ???

I hope this can help you!!!

Yes, inland I believe you send fingerprints, photos and other info to the VO and they get the PGR report for you. and it takes longer...

Outland, o sea, you doing it, takes max 10 days, often much less.

Regarding the AOR2, I don't think you have received that yet. It would be an email acknowledging receipt of your application in the MCVO. eCAS "in process" is different. The AOR2 has historically been the official signal that the VO is actively working your application. eCAS has historically been unreliable for tracking the progress of your application, though with the recent flurry of notifications that many applicants worldwide have been receiving through eCAS may mean that it will be another /better indicator of application progress in the future. We'll see how that plays out.

What I couldn't tell from the PGR website link is if your mom can do the whole process, with a carta poder. I'd suggest you call the PGR Sede office in your state and make that inquiry and clarify everything.

Yes I dont think I received the AOR2 because I didnt get any email about the Mexico City office working on my case I just saw it in the website that it says that they started working on it on Auguust 21st but I didnt get any email yet.

I will have to call the PGR and find out about it, if not I will have to travel to Mexico.

Thank you for your help!
