If you or your partner are Mexican, then yes, it's surely faster to do it in person. In our case I don't even think that's possible, as I'm not Mexican and the PGR site says that foreigners who want to get that PCC in person must have an FM2 or FM3 (which I obviously don't have as I don't work there anymore!). It's a pain in the *ss.

Getting the PGR letter from the embassy was 1 of many problems we encountered with them. It happens a lot. I don't have any hair left !!!!! Hang in there.

Corona por favor !

We got SA on February 20th and heard nothing at all so we emailed them at the beginning of May to try to get an update. They said our file is in transit and thanked us in advance for keeping in our communication with them to a minimum. I'm worried because it seems like we should have AOR2 by now or something. Is this unusual?

Husband picked up passport today! Buying tickets now! I've heard people saying that you need to make a list of what you're bringing, I'd this true? He's only bringing clothes, shoes and paperwork. Maybe currency greater than 10000 if he manages to sell his car. is there a guide for this somewhere?
Oh, and someone told me the notes are from the day you ask for them but we got ours on May 14 and the last note was from the day before saying they had sent husband's passport to the mail out room. I recommend everyone get their notes at the end of the process, it's cool to see what the officers think about your relationship.

Congratulations!!!! We're still waiting for them to send my passport back to me. I'm obsessively checking the FedEx tracking number for the prepaid label to see when it updates, and nothing yet.... figures!

I still have some hair left and would like to keep it that way, so I officially don't care anymore, but my husband would like to know what you did to get that damn piece of paper. Any tips you can share? Thanks.

I did the same thing. I would even check in the middle of the night when they were obviously closed because I was that obsessed. And I didn't check for an hour at work and it just so happened that it was the one time my father-in-law did. Obviously that's when the status had changed. of course I was excited but I was also mad that I missed it, silly I know :)

According to our notes they got the passport on the 8th (friday) and stamped it on the 11th (monday) but then they took 2 days to add the rest of the paperwork and on the 13th they sent it to mail out and it was picked up on the 15th (a full week after it was received). We even got our pictures back which was a fun surprise since it said they don't give those back.

Hopefully you get yours soon and that timeline helped :)

Congratulations Dulce Gomez who landed in Canada yesterday, May 18, 2015!!

Jack87 - any indication as to the hold up with you? would be interested to know, once you get your latest notes back.

No idea. Probably nothing, or they're gathering up all the paperwork - we sent in a rather heavy application :D

You got really recent notes?? Did you just order them? Maybe I will order mine too if they are not taking 30 days to send them - it would be interesting to see what's holding them up. Or maybe I'm just being impatient hahaha.

They are taking the same 30 days. We had ordered ours back in April and it just happened that they moved within that timeline.

Processing time changed from 18 to 17!

That's good news! Hopefully it stays the same or continues to improve despite adding Dominican Republic to the list of countries processed!

Well its official. Our package is heading to Mexico. Now I'm just wondering from those of you that already have your package in Mexico. Did they send you another AOR to say it arrived?? Or do they wait until they are actually starting it? I guess I'm wondering what the next information I should hear. Any thoughts??

Weird. I had ordered notes on March 16 and I didn't get them until May 11, after Decision Made on my ECAS. No idea why they took so long but the notes were generated 3 days after I requested them.

In any case, I just ordered notes today, just for curiosity's sake.

I would like to know the same.. I got SA today but apparently this is going to take more than expected. Why do they take so long to send the applications to Mexico? Do they send them right away or every other month? Just wondering... It's not the same with others VOs...
