Congrats! I sent mine jan 31 so hopefully I'm finding the same info shortly.

Did they mail or email you the ppr?

They did email us.

It asks for passport, the pdf in the email, confirmation of address, and tell the new address you will after landing in Canada and a prepaid envelope.

I have a question about the form 0008 general application form. Inthe question about national identity document what do we put? Is it the IFE that we should use as the national document? any help?

My husband and I are freaking out. They requested his passport on May 15, 2014. We sent it with UPS to Mexico (took forever to find someone who offered prepaid airway bills here). Anyways they received it on May 26 and it is now June 24 and we haven't gotten his passport back yet. We sent everything they asked for and we even sent them an e-mail to let them know we had plans to travel on June 22nd. They replied only to ask us for the tracking information and we haven't heard from them since. I had to be back in Canada before Sunday the latest and didn't want to leave without my husband, I don't know what else I can do. Very irresponsible to hold someone's passport for over a month.

In Costa Rica they have a govt issued ID called a cedula. We put his cedula number for that. Some countries don't have a national ID document so you would just leave it blank. What country are you from?

My wife is Mexican. Here everybody has a voter card called an IFE. I'm assuming this would be considered the national id card.

Has anyone had this problem? What happens if someone doesn't have the pathology report after they had an operation? Here in Mexico at the doctor's offices that are authorized to do the medical exam, they ask for the doctor's report and pathology report.

I would assume that you would need to go to the hospital where the operation took place and request a copy of each.

Hi guys... i have a question; according ur personal experiences: how long does it normally take to get ur passport back once u have submited to your vo in mexico? Im applying via outland since sept 2013

My interview was waived, i submitted rcmp report, arc lette, etc... can someone advise me on what to expect next? Will really appr3ciate... cuz @ this point dont know on what to think and im getting stress out :( :(

Hey I have a question for anyone who has already done their process. When you got the PPR did you go right to the embassy to drop it off? I've heard of that happening but not sure it's possible. Any info??

I have a few questions about the permanent residency process. My wife and I are close to finishing putting our package together and I would like to check a few things. My first concern is my part the sponsor. I have a letter from my mother saying that we are welcome to stay with my parents when we go to Canada and that they will supply food, gas, car etc. Is that enought proof of intent to return or what else could I get? It's not reasonable to rent a place there until we know about the visa. Also I can't get a job offer as I have been away for 6 years. Is there anything else or is the letter from my mother enough? Also as I have been living and working outside of Canada and considered a non-resident, I have not paid income tax. Do I need a letter or tax receipt from where I am working here in Mexico? Also on the form I need to fill out to get the medical exam done it asks for the processing office. Do we put Mississauga or Mexico City?

Hi guys,
I'm a long, looooong time lurker, but am finally able to contribute something.
Just sent off our package this morning to Mississauga! It took a couple of months to put together and is nowhere near a enormous as some others I've seen here, but I'm hoping that it will be all right. I was kind of sick of looking at, thinking about and working on it. Ya know what I mean? Anyway, good luck to all you others waiting, too!

Welcome! Took us a couple months too. The process of getting it all together was the most stressful for us. The day I sent it off a huge stress was released as there's nothing you can do for a while, it's in their hands. I wish you the best. I've noticed the activity on this topic has slowed considerably over the last couple of months so some of your questions might be better answered by searching this topic.

We got PPR on wednesday which is an incredible feeling right now. So happy! but my wife tried going to the embassy to give it to them and they said she had to mail it. Silly considering she had it with her and they would not accept it. I guess they have a deal with dhl and ups or something ;)

Woohoo! Finally got the passport request! They are as accurate as they can be, it took them 14 months -1 day to process :D (when I submitted the application the processing time was at 14 months).
