You can do the medical exam before sending the application but you will not be able to get the police certificate for Mexico as the PGR only delivers documents with a formal request from Embassy of Canada in Mexico. However, if your wife did visit any country including Canada more than 6 months you will need police certificates from those countries. Those police certificate can be requested according to the laws and requirement of each of those countries.

Can do the medical or should do? What is faster, doing it before submitting the application or after?

Alos is it true that the list of authorized doctors here in Mexico is so small? You have to go to one of these doctors on the panel physician list for the medical exam?

2 questions :)...
1. did you guys write your name, birthdate, etc on the back of your 8 photos?

2. im canadian and my husband is mexican. last year, he applied for a visitor visa to come see me in toronto. it got denied. he never said anything about having a common law partner on the visitor visa application. we were scared if he said he had a canadian girlfriend, they would deny him. he checked the box that said single. dumb on our part, he got denied anyway. now we are applying for PR...do you think that this will come up in his interview?

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share with you my good news. I just received an email from the Embassy requesting my passport!!! Im so excited since I wasnt expecting everything to be done so quickly. Tomorrow will be 3 months since I send my application, so it has been so fast I still can believe it.
My husband came 12 times in a year and I send like 200 photos so I think it helped to prove our relatioship is genuine hehe.

I´ll be moving on July to Toronto :) :D ;D :o

Well hope everyone recieve good news soon just like I did.

Hi, I didnt write any info in the back of the 8 photos, I think that could damage the photos. About you secord question, well I applied for a VISA last year I it got denied but I mentioned I was visiting a friend not my boyfriend so Im not sure if they will ask you that on the interview, anyway not everyone gets request for interview so cross your fingers. Try to provide as much info as you can to prove you relationship is genuine so you dont have to do an interview.

Good Luck

hey desi!
congratulations!
no interview?? 3 months from the time you sent the application? to d.f.?...

No, 3 months in total, since I send it to Mississauga. and 2 months since they send it to Mexico. So it was pretty fast. But every case is different. The more you can prove you relationship is genuine and you send everything they ask for the faster they will process the application.

Me and my husband did everything by ourselves without lawyers.

im trying! im sending wedding photos, reception, honeymoon, birth of our daughter, gifts, blah blah blah...chats, skype, emails, blah blah blah...im going insane working every day on this for the last 3 months. im almost finished hallelujah!

yes, you have to go to an authorized dr. we live in playa del carmen and had to fly to mexico city for the medical exam that was the closest! sucks.

And did you get the medical done before or during the application process?

Wow three months in total processing. That is incredible. If they process my application that fast my husband could be here by September.

I'm really happy for you. I hope that all of the agents are working that quickly.
