I think LeisaP is reaching her 6 week mark this week as well.

So it was 2 months to get the ARC and 6 weeks+ of waiting after you sent it?

Hi everyone :)

Next week will be 3 months since I was approved as a sponsor and our file was transferred to Mexico City. I haven't received AOR yet and from what I've seen here, most people get it within 2 months. I'm wondering if it is too early to ask for our GCMS notes. I'm afraid I won't find much information as there is a chance they haven't even started processing our file, but at the same time there might be something worth looking at just in case an interview is requested. I just want to make sure our file is in fact there, and sending them a case specific enquiry doesn't sound like a good idea because it might be too early. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Does AOR normally come from email?

From what I've seen, I think that you'll find that, for Mexico, in process to PPR timing is not consistent in terms of x weeks or so.

The reason I mention the Police Certificate to PPR timing is that I've noticed that year after year there seems to be 'batches' where everyone who has received a PGR request over a few months gets the PPR over a couple weeks. The exception are the cases where they ask for additional proof of relationship or where some added twist kicks the applications out of the 'batch processing' into their own timing so that the other elements can be addressed.

It will be interesting to see what the actual statistics indicate if you collect them. trackit used to have them, I don't know if they still do.

Don't worry about asking any question - it's normal to try to dissect it in order to better predict. When you get frustrated, redirect some of the energy into lists of places to see, things to do when she arrives and into prepping your home (does she have closet and drawer space already?) ;) Or, ensure she does her B4, gets driver's license history, etc so you don't have anything left to do when she does get the PPR.

do you know my wife by any chance? she's already told me to remove some of my close from "her" side of the closet...hahaha...AND...I recently (last week) put new countertop and backplash...I'm surprised but maybe I shouldnt be that you thoguht of that!?

thanks again for answering me...my fingers are crossed and hopefully we hear something very soon!

We have a small update! Our ecas changed to "In Process"!! Not sure anyone really knows how significant this is but I thought i'd share... :)

Hey Mozz, our AOR took 3 full months. If I were you, I probably wouldn't order the notes just yet... as you say they probably won't tell you what you want to know.

Around the 3 month mark we sent a case-specific inquiry and then got the AOR a week later.... you could try the same, or just wait it out.

So it's been almost 2 months since we sent the pgr ssp ad additional proof of common-law relationship. We hve sent a couple of emails had had replies that didn't make sense. The last one basically said they will update if needed and will not give us acknowledgement that everything has been received. ( we had doubts because one reply to an email said they did not received our REQUEST for the ssp which we never asked them for as we got it our self and sent it with everything) As you can imagine it caused some confusion. Any ways, any advice on what to do? Should we just wait? Or ask for the notes? We have no idea what's going on! It sucks seeing the people who sent stuff after us get the ppr and we don't even have an update on ecas. Any insight would be great!

Patiently waiting for my hubbies PR card, then we can close the door on our immigration journey.... well until citizenship time I guess, lol!

Good luck! :)

Are you waiting for the PR Card before the move out West?

LOL! No. You should get her to introduce herself on here someday.

If you keep improving the house THAT MUCH she may decide that it's worth waiting until you're done.

I hope you hear soon.

can someone tell me how long they give you to 'land' in Canada ? thanks

Usually, the earlier of 1 year from medical (or 2 years if it met the extension criteria) or passport expiration date.

thanks....I thought I had read 30 days somewhere.
