I think I made a copy of our whole application and/or have it saved on the computer, lol

canadiangirl78 - if you want a copy for your records, you could get your GCMS notes with a copy of your full physicial file.

I do plan on ordering our notes when I can - I'm curious!!

Other news - Hubby got his permanent resident card today. :) I am so happy! Still a few more steps until we are completely settled but life is good.

It is so cold!! The wind!! My ears, nose, hands. Brrr! We will hit freezing tonight.

mc1234, sorry to hear that! I hope this gets resolved straightforwardly and quickly! I am concerned about our medicals too, since we were switched from Guatemala to Mexico.

Just out of curiosity, does your ecas say meds received?
Sorry to butt in muchacha but are you from central america?
And why did your file got switch to mexico?

They have closed the Guatemala City embassy so all the files have been transferred to Mexico city embassy since the September 1, 2012.

My husband is from Nicaragua, and our file was transferred to Mexico in September. I noticed you are from El Salvador, and yours was sent to Mexico August 1st? That must have been confusing, or did they tell you why it was going to Mexico? Also, you haven't received any email or mail from Mexico yet, acknowledging that they have received your file?? That is discouraging! Hopefully you will hear something soon.

I don't believe they have closed the Embassy in Guatemala just yet... they are still denying (er.. "processing") TRVs :D

Almost 6 weeks since I handed in my ARC. I'm thankful for gyms, videogames and beer. Otherwise I would've blown my brains out already.

I received an email august 19th saying that my application had been transfer to mexico city august 1st
The same day i sent an email to the embassy in mexico asking why my file was in mexico since i am originally from el salvador
Two days later i received another email saying ''The visa office was selected based on your home address and the requirements of the
immigration and refugee protection act''
So i didnt send another email

I'm kind of nervous to be honest since i dont know what to expect, i dont know how long it takes all this
and also i've been wondering what if im called for an interview :o

I wonder, was this your Mexico AOR? Did the email come from CIC Mississauga or from the Mexican Embassy?

I'm especially concerned if the interviews are in Mexico. My husband would need to apply for a visa to get into Mexico - I have a headache just thinking about it. ???

The email came from CIC, and the interview is also my headache :'(

I'm praying to not be called for an interview otherwise is going to cost me a lot more money!
