I know but I understand completely......while time is flying by there are certains things that are at a stop.....I get you......once we get a yes after the interview it could be weeks or days for the visa and then again with the exit permit so it's like a never ending process....but the end result will definitely be worth it.......just have to try and remember to look at the big picture...LOL....easy to say and hard to do!!!!

Well I inform you guys that I just got back from the embassy.

I handed in a copy of my refugee decision, my ARC letter, a prepaid waybill (no idea why they asked for this) and the hefty fee of $5,140.

In total I spent around $5,800 pesos. I guess it's back to eating sandwiches for the rest of the week!

Now the wait begins (for the 2321048214th time)

What's the exit permit?? You need that after getting the visa? Cuba doesn't seem to want to let their people go :)

oh they can go....for a price....exit permit which gives him the right to travel back and forth to Cuba and to keep his property rights = $550.00 - $150.00 permit fee and $400.00 for a fake medical fee......but having him with me in Canada = priceless :P

lol Wow! At $1 a day... It would take Cubans an awful long time to save that much!

They gave it to everyone in the group that got in with me except for me and another guy. They didnt say why, just gave us a paper saying to come back in 10 days and no information will be given by phone.
