Good morning!

I just checked e-cas and unlike yesterday it says "medical results received". Does this mean anything?

I'm still seeing application received, not in progress.

Today is just one of those days for me, feeling like I will never see movement in our file. I hope we hear something soon. :(

I know how you feel, I was there myself not too long ago. But March is moving pretty fast so they will start April soon! Once they start April, you will feel invigorated and the wait won't be so hard. Plan some fun stuff to do, distract yourself.

I am/have been trying!! I know I will feel a lot better once I start seeing April movement - I just cant believe sponsorship approval is taking three months :/ When I first started to really get our documents together, it was only taking 45 days.. and now we are that mid way point, I feel like its the hardest part because you have been waiting for a while, and the end feels so far :(

On the bright side, I guess I should count my blessings since we are already both in Canada though. It could be a lot worse.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Also, I got my SO's UCI number from when we submitted his application for his visa.. When do you all think I will start being able to see his file on CIC?

Yes.. Same for me.. I remember when it was 45 Days.. now it's taking forever. It says 90 days, but the date that it says they are working on.. is more than 90 days from the day they updated it.. I just hope they are trying to get the processing times back down.

Yes it is a blessing your spouse is in Canada. But I'm sure it's equally as frustrating. My husband is still in Mexico. Has anyone's spouses applied for a visitor visa for Canada while the app is being processed? I feel like if he tells them his wife is in Canada.. That doesn't give him a reason to return to Mexico :) And that seems to be what they look at the most when issuing a visa. He has never been to Canada.. and I'm getting tired of travelling to Mexico and the long wait times in between :(

Being together in Canada already really helps. I am dying to get there! But he can't work right? That is hard. The wait for approval would have killed me if not for our 3.5 week trip to Canada. That ate up a lot of time. 3 months really is too long but what can we do? You will be over the hump soon.

No he can't work which is the part that really sucks and the reason we were considering going back to mexico and waiting it out there.. I have faith once our file gets to Mexico City it will go through fast, but if not we will go back to Mexico and wait it out there I think, we have to see when the time comes.

We did our visa application loong before we ever applied for PR. People said we were never going to get it and we did, so I say go for it - even if he cant work.. the amount of money you save not having to travel back and forth is worth it. If you cant live in Mexico while your waiting our your hubby's PR, its worth it to apply, in my opinion.

What state does your hubby live in Mexico?

Yeah very true! I have been getting back into reading so that helps a lot. Also cooking/baking lol! Whatever I can do to get my mind off this. We are also going to really get back into the gym, that will help burn off some stream.

I was wondering the same thing if anyone has applied for a visitors visa while the sponsorship app is in process, I just started a new job and can't take any time off and the wait is unbearable, I want my wife to apply for the visa even though I know the chances are slim.

If anyone has been successful in getting the visa while the app is in progress please share :)

No he can't work.. but I would be ok with that. We definitely were considering waiting in Mexico together, but I feel my job is more secure than his, and we need some financial security as it's not a cheap process. But the cost of living is much less in Mexico. I struggle too because I'm not fluent in Spanish, and none of his friends and family speak English. I think we will try for a visitor visa. From what I heard.. once you are approved once.. and you return to Mexico.. it's easy to get a 2nd one.

I know I didn't do it while the PR application was in process, but if anyone needs helps/ideas of what to include in the visitor visa application, I am more than happy to share our experience! Also, I think two other members of this forum got their wives here on a visitor visa while the application was in process, look back in this thread and I am sure you can find more info on it.
