If you are in Canada... (at least this worked for me calling my b/f's cell in mexico) 011-52-1-XXX-XXX-XXXX if you call a landline then you usually can drop the 1 after the 52.dair2dv8103100 said:Totally not immigration related but I have a question about calling a cell phone in Mexico.
I have a group of friends that travelled there 2 days ago. They are borrowing a mutual friends local cell phone to use while they are travelling around. I attempted to call the number from my cell with a calling card. All I get is silence or it rings and rings and no one answers. They have texted me no problem but the calling seems to be an issue.
When they gave me the number it was +4455.... but when I looked online it says when dialing Mexico just use +55..... I have tried both and neither seem to work.
Any suggestions or ideas or advice??
Thanks.

Thank you. ;D I am going to try this today. I just hope I don't eat up their minutes from an incoming call. :itscoezy said:If you are in Canada... (at least this worked for me calling my b/f's cell in mexico) 011-52-1-XXX-XXX-XXXX if you call a landline then you usually can drop the 1 after the 52.
