If you sent the receipt with the initial application, that's fine. you don't need to send it again. Missisagua will put it into the system that its all paid for and such and Mexico will see that aswell.
ok awesome , thankz leisa :)

I hope he doesn't take too long putting his stuff together, according to him he is pretty much ready, let's see if it's true :p

Hi
We have all our documents at the Embassy in Mexico City and it is in process of review and has been that way for around 2 months due to that strike. Anyone have any updates? The process is so stressful and with a strike even worse!
Anyone have an idea of how long it is taking to get the final answer, from the point where you submit everything to when they ask for your passport? Thanks!

Hi ,
I once they have your application in the embassy it takes 3 months for them to review it , I called the embassy last month and they told me there was no strike :S I mean if you call the embassy here in Mexico they will tell u they aren’t ton strike… Anyways it took them 3 months exactly to ask me for extra documents … I will recommend u as ppl here told me if it takes longer than 3 months email them and they are most likely not going to reply cuz that’s what they did to me my husband had to contact his MP for us to find out what were the documents they needed. They have to send you this thing called AOR ( for extra documents) and the PGR letter which is the thing for you to get the noncriminal record here in Mexico . I’m new in this too but hope this helps 

Thanks so much for your answer. Actually, we already sent the additional documents as well as the PGR letter and that was beginning of June. I did get my MP involved early today and they said that everything was in queue review but there is no aprox date due to the strike. So I am just hoping that this goes faster. We have been married 18 1/2 years and have 3 kids, two with me in Canada and one with her in Mexico and we have now been a separated family for 2 years. This is just not possible, hope things fasten up.

Thanks again!

So the embassy has our PGR now... I'm thinking we have 2-4 months to go depending on if they ask for Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) or anything else. Does that sound about right?

Hi we are starting our application, my husband is Canadian and lives in Montreal. I have several questions about how to fill the forms Please I need your help to guide me   Anyone who applies for Quebec and is filling the forms in French? Than you so much! Merci bcp! Muchas gracias! I have these questions:

1.- What copies do I need certified by the notary?

2.- The birth certificate and marriage certificate are legalized (Archivo general de notarias, SEGOB, SRE, EMBASSY) Do I need also the notary certify? Or Can I send only the copies with the legalization?

In the part Inmigration Forms:

IM0008 cuestion 7: Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?
-If you checked “Yes”, please indicate the CSQ number
-If you checked “No”, indicate the date when you applied for your CSQ
Note: If you are applying for refugee protection, check “no” for Question 7a and leave 7c blank.
3.- It is correct if I left unanswered 7c because I have not applied for the CSQ and they ask for the date? And I cannot write NA what do I have to do?

4.- In the part National Identity Document I need to put the CURP AND If I have to do it I have to write NA in the part expiry date or what document do I have to put here.

5.- If my husband is Canadian and we don’t have children I have to eliminate the part dependants?

In the Additional family information (IMM 5406)
6.- In section A Do I have to sign or not?
7.- In section B If I don’t have children I have to write NA?

Hi Bibitte,

I don't have answers for all your questions, but I have a couple.

2) the birth certificate needs to be the original when you send it, so if its legalized and an original, you can send it as is. Not sure about the marriage certificate though, we applied common-law. So someone else should be able to answer that.

4) We used the IFE for the national identity card, not the CURP.

5) yes, that's correct, you still need to print off those pages, but we just wrote a bit N/A across it, after printing them. We did this for any forms that weren't for us. Because if you don't include all the forms, they may think you forgot one or something, so just include them and put N/A

I'm really happy because finally after months of hard work I sent my app to my husband this morning. I know he has to completed but the sponsored person part is the longest one. He has pretty much everything we need, just need to tape since he filled them out hanwritten already.

But now I'm worried I could miss something. First, I didn't add the forms that didn't apply to us, like the representative form, or the dependants part. And second I read somewhere in this forum that Mexico doesn't really have a national identity number, could be the curp but has not an expiration date and the data from my passport they already had it.

Should I really need to add the forms that doesn't apply for us? And my CURP or IFE information, I can still do it since I had not sent the to CPC-M yet

Like always thanks for you answers

LEISAP your posts and answers were a real help in the preparation of my app, thanks

Im not sure what they do if you don't add them, I just know we were advised to add all the forms that are on the checklist. To cause less confusion for the officer.

Also what did you use as your national identity info ?
did you put anything besides the passport ?
