Where did you get your information? Did the workers explicitly tell you they haven't been doing anything? Because I've seen PR processing activity since the strike started... in fact, 2 months ago we were asked for another document. So it seems really slow, but not completely stopped.

Thanks for the reply, marcjd. I recently had a bad experience on my way back from Mexico, missing my connecting flight in Washington despite 2 hours buffer time because border services was so congested. I think that has more to do with a lack of funding and haven't encountered that in Ottawa...

I noticed something on CBC news today about how the strikes are rotating/staggered. Basically they do some locations, then switch to others. This could explain why we were getting inconsistent responses about whether or not the visa office at Mexico City is on strike.

I think we both have 1-2 months to go. That's if there are no surprises and they work fast. =)
