Bcmom: how did it go with the MP today?.
Interesting to hear the representative hasn't heard a word from the Embassy while the MP says PPR has already been made...
I suppose I would go to the Embassy if posssible with the passport right away and enquire about it...
Well they sent in the passport with a note included saying that the passport request had been made Oct 9th, and all the contact info etc, as well as the prepaid DHL to return it. The embassy now has the passport, as I Checked thru DHL tracking this morning. The MP's office directed us to do this, and told me that if in 4 weeks we have nothing or heard nothing to contact him again. I would strongly suggest contacting your local MP office if it has exceeded the normal processing time. Funny thing too, our case specific enquiries were never answered by the embassy!

Has anyone been through an interview with Mexico City? If you have what was your experience.
I have no idea how to prepare my spouse. All i know is right now, he is very unprepared.
Are you guys common law?

Oh ok. That's probably why you have an interview. I wouldn't worry! And the good news is you'll have the visa shortly after. :)

So did we, I guess luck of the draw. They even said I failed to complete a form correctly because I didn't give them my SO's history since he was 18. It asked for the last 10 years, or since he was 18,whichever comes first. So now we have to go back and get personal history for 20 years! My only thought is maybe the VO is new or something?
Not really sure but I hope all goes well at the interview.

Yeah. maybe.
well we did ours with a consultant and she was saying everything had to be completely perfect.
even when you write down where you lived. if theres 1 day in between that was missed. they could ask u to redo it.
everything has to be lined up without missing any days.
its crazy, but i guess they want it all done so nicely.

but i think your interview will go fine!.

good luck with it! :)

Hi guys!

Really quick question: My wife and I are almost ready to send our 1st application. Since my birth certificate & marriage certificate are in Spanish, I need to translate both of them, according to the guide... Now the question is...

Do we need to get both certified? (birth and marriage certificates?)

We are hiring a "perito traductor autorizado del Tribunal Superior de Justicia" to translate my documents from Spanish to French (since I want to immigrate to Quebec), but Im not sure about which documents should be certified? The perito traductor del TSJ told me that she needs to go to the Canadian Embassy to get my document certified (marriage certificate already translated into French) and that the embassy charges $80CAD plus her own fees to get it certified in the embassy.

Is that true??

I'd really appreciate your help! :)

I'm sure itscoezy's case was also strong. You're just more likely to get an interview if you're common law.
