haha yes!! weve had 2 christmas' together already but in vancouver... which we all know is definatly not a white christmas. it would be so nice to have a family christmas with the snow, it will feel much more festive

last christmas we were in vancouver and on christmas day it was sunny out no rain no snow, the grass was all green and like plus 12, it didnt feel like christmas. lol.

yeah that would make sense. as long as its easy for him to bring his luggage and belongings to mexico city.

well my aunt is coming nov 10 to visit she already booked everything. so we have to stay till than, but after that im hoping we will be able to leave right away. we would like to be home at my parents place for a snowy white christmas in alberta lol.

and about the interview yeah i dunno because your right it gets sent with aor. but i feel like ours was a bit different because them spent 4 months working on it without sending an aor or anything. so i would assume they should have it figured out if they want an interview or not after 5 months now! lol.

im not sure about it. my immigration consultant said usually police checks are last, if they wanted an interview it would be asked before but who knows really lol.

Actually.. My AOR took much longer than others.. so that could mean they process it before sending the AOR and 1 point in favour of the PGR being the last request!

oh yes! thats right. I Think thats good news that it took longer, they were working on it than and my fingers are crossed that the pgr is a last request for both of us

I went to my local DHL to get the prepaid waybill and they said they couldnt sell it to me unless I sent the papers right away. I´m going to Mexico City on Monday to get the SSP and want to try to hand deliver the documents myself and save me some money.

Has anyone outside of Mexico City had this problem before when buying the prepaid waybill? Can i do that in Mexico city?

I went to my local DHL to get the prepaid waybill and they said they couldnt sell it to me unless I sent the papers right away. I´m going to Mexico City on Monday to get the SSP and want to try to hand deliver the documents myself and save me some money.

hmmm that is weird, i think edgar dropped off a prepaid waybill to the embassy without sending it...
well if your in mexico city anyways try and get one. you should be able to, i dont see why not and than take it to the embassy in person.

I thought it was weird too. It´s going to be a thight schedule in Mexico City, since they stop receiving everything at noon. This can be so frustrating sometimes!

i agree! but if you go to the ssp early a bit before they open that should be really quick! when we went it only took about 5 minutes total.

than i think there is a dhl office close to the embassy. maybe you can ask Edgar where it is, he should know better. he goes to the embassy alot.

Our last correspondence from the embassy started with "I am about to complete the assessment of your application..." so it definitely seems like police certificates are the last step.

You'll notice it's only like 7 blocks away from the embassy. So a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride.

Both of them are fairly close and they're very knowledgeable when it comes to prepaid waybills for the Canadian embassy. (They deal with them ALL the time)

yeah our consultant said the same thing aswell.
So now i believe it more hearing from different sources!
