My wife got the one from that place in GDL and the embassy didn't accept it. I think that one used to be ok, but (from what i understand) in may they changed things and now it has to be the ssp in Mexico city. Even though our application was sent to the embassy at the end of march, we were...

Does anybody know if the embassy closes for Mexican holidays or Canadian holidays? Will it be open on labour day Monday?

Thanks! It was exactly 1 month between submitting PGR and getting PPR. Hopefully they will start coming even faster now that summer is over. I got the email as I was getting off night shift. I'm so excited now, I can't get to sleep!

We just got our PPR!!! Finally! It was dated yesterday; exactly a month after we submitted the PGR. Good to see that a lot of you guys are at the PGR stage. Once that's done, it won't be much longer for your PPRs to come too!

you should be able to get it in gdl. my wife's brother got hers there. i think she assumed that she needed to get it in the state where she was born but i don't know if that's actually the case.

I'm pretty sure that once they request the police certificates, that means they don't want an interview. That's what our consultant said. Our last correspondence from the embassy started with "I am about to complete the assessment of your application..." so it definitely seems like police...

yeah we thought it best to use a consultant too because my wife was in Canada illegally for 4 years. and she was working illegally that whole time. better safe than sorry.

i think we should have done it that way too. but my wife doesn't have internet where she is living in Mexico and i was staying there with her for a few months. so it just made more sense for the embassy to contact our consultant and then he could call us. but now i'm back in Canada, so i guess i...

that's good to know. i think i just worry too much. everything goes through our consultant first and he never seems to tell us things right away. are most people not using consultants? ours was helpful with putting the application together, but since then he just seems to be in the way lol.

thanks, i'm pretty sure that the ppr is coming really soon. i don't know if we should be expecting an email or a letter in the mail. we've had a mix of both so far. just makes me worry that they will mail it and it will get lost. i keep bugging our consultant to see if we have anything yet.

yeah the letter had a link to instructions on the CIC site for getting the informe de datos registrales. it took almost 2 months to straighten this out and finally get the PGR letter. so frustrating when the process is delayed so much because of a mistake like that.

Kind of a long story for our police certificates as there were some mixups. They sent instructions for obtaining our police certificates on May 17, but it was for outside Mexico even though my wife is inside Mexico. By the time we got that straightened out (2 prepaid airway bills and 3 case...

Hi everyone, I've been lurking this thread for awhile and finally decided I should register and introduce myself. I'm sponsoring my wife. We applied in January 2012 and got sponsorship approval in March. We have submitted the SSP and PGR and our e-cas has been updated to "medical results have...
