k totally off topic, but say you were to camp in the PV area, where would you go ? Basically I have just enough for airfare (through donations from family) but we dont have accomodations so my fiance wants to camp. Which is ok I guess, I am a small town girl and can cope with no washroom and all that but what about the large bugs ??? Anyone done this ????

I think one of my wife's friend does it all the time, he's from Gdl and she mentioned he doesn't like paying when he goes to PV so he camps I'll ask her about it and let u know.

It hasn't been too long, 1 and 1/2 months, but people are getting them now in 3-4 weeks, which is really great.. but where's mine!!??

Great! I'll look back and read through the posts... thanks for the info really appreciate it. I'm the sponsor, what do u think the chances are of the letter making it from Mex to BC? Should we just send a prepaid airway thingie so they can resend it to my wife's address? Another question is, should we go in and update her address to her Mexican address?

From your prior post, it sounded like they had already sent the request letter. If that's the case, the one they already mailed will in all likelihood arrive. I haven't heard of anyone's getting lost (or of the requests being reissued to date). It just takes time to arrive. It would have taken time within Mexico too so if you courier it to your wife you shouldn't really have any 'extra' delay.
There's no point in updating her address at this point. They usually e-mail the passport request and she can take it in for same day service (or mail it) for the next step.

yeah thats not to bad, well all you can hope is if you dont get an AOR you may just get correspondence for something else like a police check or something which would be good news anyways

Does the PGR request automatically come with the AOR??

Yes we did to change his address.. and at the bottom asked to confirm that they had the file, but they just responded to the address change portion. I'll get him to send another.

i dont know exactly what the AOR says cuz u know we didnt get one. but people have confirmed in the aor it says they will be sending a PGR letter. but it doesnt come at the same time. its comes later on

hmm.. it's odd because they obviously are working on your file, since they asked for the updated Medical.. I wonder when they will issue you the PGR request??

after many nights of over analyzing everything and talking with our immigration consultant.
this is the conculsion we came to. lol
they recevied our file in april and began working on it. our officer for some reason forgot to send an aor or it got lost.
and it took them 4 months to determine the genuniness of the relationship because my spouse is a failed refugee so they have to look into every detail. hense the 4 month wait. than once they determined it was genuine they sent off the request for new medical.
and I believe once they receive the medical they will send us the pgr request letter through the prepaid waybill they sent us.

maybe im wrong, but this is what weve figured out that probabaly happened.

yeah! they are definatly reviewing it even if the aor comes late. they open it soon after receiving it

Congrats TSjunx! Now I am starting to get worried about where our AOR is. The good news is that our PGR was sent off to Cancun this morning. Hopefully we get AOR soon

LOL! I just don't want her to worry either way because oftentimes they don't respond at all. I really want her to get that PPR!!
