My hubby has a window next week.. so I think he's going to go get the SSP. Do you know how long it is valid for? (We haven't even received the AOR yet)

were going to get my hubbys ssp next week too
maybe well bump into your husband in the office without even knowing it! lol

i believe it only lasts for 30 days
we havnt gone for ours yet because we still havnt received the pgr letter from the prepaid waybill we sent
when we get to the 30 day point since we received the letter we will go for the ssp no matter what cuz we have only 60 days to get it there...
we are at a complete waiting point right now.. for the rcmp and the pgr letter

only 30 days. so we pretty much cant get it till they send us an email asking for it? that doesnt make sense for a police certificate to only last 1 month :-\

My logic to the expiry date was: What if you go get the police certificate, give it to the embassy and then go beat someone up and get charged for assault? LOL

lol!! but still, i have never heard of a police certificate only lasting 30 days!!.
maybe 3 months at the very minimum!

so will they send an email requesting this at the very very end than? must be at the very end if it only last 3 days

if even they didnt request it. can we still go get one and hand it in anyways?

We recieved our request july 20 and our papers were sent to mexico july 03.. it was the first thing they asked us for..

OHcanadiana said a while back that they are vaild for 1 year both the pgr and ssp.
although they may ask for an updated one if they wish to at any time.

CIC has to receive a police certificates within 3 months of it being issued and it expires after a year (once it has expired, CIC may request a new one at their discretion). So, as long as he drops it off or sends it to the Embassy within the next couple months you should be fine. He can even include a pre-paid waybill for the PGR request letter while he's at it.

How did you end up sending them the waybill??
