A few ideas:
- The FBI has forms you can print out online - you'd have to check if the RCMP would accept them on regular paper (vs card stock)
- The FBI will FedEx you fingerprint forms if you provide them an account number, et (otherwise they mail them regular mail) if you need FBI prints.
- edgarsitow got his prints for the FBI taken at the PGJ (IIRC) ... he may have some additional ideas from researching how to get his prints taken in Mexico City

Thank you good ideas! the RCMP will only mail me a copy of their form and they will not courier anything. So I have to wait to receive it from Ottawa and then I have to courier it to my husband in Mexico and have him courier it back to me so I can send it to Ottawa. I called the RCMP also to confirm about the 120 days and they said it would take at least this long.

Good idea about the FBI doc I will call them back to see if they will except it. And edgarsitow if you see this please let me know if you brought the form with you or how you went about doing this. I will PM you!

Can't believe it is July 31. Another month gone by. August simply has to be the month because I really don't know how much more of this I can take.

i think some are taking vacations. because schools out right now.
maybe there are some people on family vacations..
only thing i can think of. but school starts back in august. so hopefully they start some movement soon

yes its normal
ours still says that
our application was forwarded april 5. and still today ecase only says application received january 18.

Let's hope!! I was desperate to get Step 1 completed before summer, as I thought it would delay things more. So now let's hope things start moving in more orderly fashion in Mexico! With Step 1 taking a good extra month in Canada, they really shouldn't be that back logged!

Leisa - Have you considered requesting your GCMS notes? I think that you have to be in Canada to get them, but your immigration consultant could probably request them for you. It looks like it's 30-40 days to get them, but it's just a suggestion if they don't answer your inquiry.

I was considering getting them.
If I'm out of canada I have to print off the forms. Get them signed and scan them. And email them back to our consultant in canada right?
We are going to my hubbys parents house this weekend and they have a scanner so I was thinking to print the forms and do that this weekend to order them next week. It would probably give us a better idea of what's going on.

These are the notes I copied from a previous post. I believe it was OhCanadiana.

GCMS notes are computer generated notes about your case, you can get all information about your application. you can get reason for interview also, why did they decide to schedule an interview for you.
you need to be in Canada to apply but your wife can order GCMS notes for you. sometime it takes 5-6 weeks to get these notes so you should apply asap. there are 2 forms you need to download, you need to sign one consent form authorizing your wife to get information about your case from CIC.

Step by step:


Print off IMM 5563 (05-2012) E - Access to Information and Personal Information Request
Section A:
1. Access to Information Act
2. English/French (your choice)
3. Email (fastest way)
4. No (because you do not live in Canada you cannot request on your own, your spouse will have to officially request for you)

Section B:
This section is for you to fill out.
Family Name (Last Name)
Given Name(s) (First Name/Middle Name)
DOB
Electronic Files - Status of an Appliacation - File Number (you would get this from the AOR or Approval, ours started with an 'F') - Location (in your case its New Delhi, India)
DO NOT fille out the Immigratrion File in Canada section or the next section down that says Physical File

Section C:
This section your spouse that lives in Canada will fill out:
Tick the box "this request is usbmitted by a Canadian Citizian or PR"
Mr. Mrs. Ms
Family Name (Last Name)
Given Name(s) (First Name/Middle Name)
Full Address
Phone Number
Email
Requesters Signature: your spouse to sign and date

NOW:

Print off IMM 5475(12-2004) E - Authoriy to Release Personal Information To A Designated Individual
Choose One:
Tick off the first box "i authorize"
Questions 1-4 are for you, the principal applicant to fill out
1. Family Name and Given Name
2. DOB
3. Name of Office:New Delhi, India Location of Office: New Delhi, India
4. File Number or Client ID

Questions 5-6 are for your spouse, the Canadian citizian or PR to fill out
5. Family Name and Given Name
6. Address, Phone and Email (make sure to use the same email that you provided when you first submitted the application)

7. Principal Applicant to sign and date/Sponsor to sign and date

I filled the forms out and then scanned them to my husband to sign, then scanned them again and emailed them, the email address is at the bottom of form IMM-5563

Lastly

Pay the $5 online, print the receipt and fill it out with your sponsors information and email all 4 pages.

It looks like if you are outside of Canada, you'll have to get someone else to request them for you.
