Could be. Although, all of their correspondence has been via email thus far. They say it's always darkest before the dawn. My hubby was just telling me the other day that it seems to be harder now (in the last couple months) than it was in the beginning. I feel the same way. I am sure everyone on here knows this feeling as well. Thank goodness we all have each other! :D
The PPR will be an email to the PA. I don't think there is even a small chance it will get mailed. I think it really sucks and there is no real good reason for it but it can't be much longer. Try and distract yourself!

I'm sure it's harder now even though you're closer. At the beginning it seems so far away to be real. Even I'm more anxious now that Step 1 is over and I'm only beginning Step 2. Both of us will be going crazy once everything starts rolling. You'll have so much stuff to do once you get the PPR.. flights, packing etc, I imagine it's like standing at the start line waiting for the gun to go off :)

He if everyone can have a quick look at thier info on the spreadsheet and fill me in on any information that is missing and I will update it asap to make sure its accurate :)

The only thing that's missing on mine is when it was sent to the consulate which would be July 24th 2012 :)

Good news ! Geesh that was awhile ago you applied for it ! oooh I guess we need to do that soon too, it has to be issued within 3 months of requesting the federal police check, is that right ?

Yes it has taken forever! I believe its 3 months, maybe someone else can chime in!

It used to be that it only had to be issued in the same calendar year. The new instructions don't say anything about issue date.

Yes, you need a birth certificate to get the PGR. You will also need one for the SSP certificate.

The confusion is probably because in Mexico, colloquially the 'certified copies' issued officially by Civil Registry Offices are called 'originals.' This makes sense, in a weird way, since you never really get an original, per se. The real, shall we say 'unique original' is only in the books held in the Civil Registry Office where you were registered.
