No you don't need a transit visa unless you actually land or have a layover in the USA. Air Canada will be my choice as well. Have you asked what is their checked baggage policy? What I like about Air Canada is that I can pay an extra fee to take my cat with me as if he was a carry-on. I'm not putting Mr. Peaches with all the checked baggage!Nessa said:Yes I think air Canada it´s the only one I can find that doesn´t go through USA! And we don´t want to go through the whole process of getting the transit visa for the states. We are going to Edmonton so we would go from mexico city to vancouver and then from there to Edmonton.
Yesterday we asked at aeromexico and they said they have from mexico to montreal and they allow 1 bag per person and then it´s a 50 dollar fee for any extra bags.
Oh but we almost had a heart attack for a minute when the guy said you need the transit visa for the states for just flying over USA territory....but then another guy that was there said you don´t need it.
Can anyone confirm that you don´t need the transit visa?? I am pretty sure you don´t...
