My process was a bit different in the sense that I got DENIED.
The woman (she's not a lady, ladies aren't arrogant, sarcastic and offensive people) said she didn't believe my relationship was genuine, so I had to appeal, I filed an appeal on September of 2010 and my hearing date was on January 2012. I received an email from the embassy at the end of April asking me to re-do my meds, update some generic forms and to submit police certificates.
I believe that you used to be able to proactively re-do your meds (been in this forum for a while) so I think the bar code might be a new thing.
And before the meds used to be sent to Port of Spain like Ohcanadiana said, but now they send them to Ottawa.
