Americana In T.O. said:Epasote is actually quote easy to find in the U.S. in places where there is a large Mexican population (i.e. Chicago and Los Angeles). In Toronto, you could try Tierra Azteca on Bloor and Dufferin. They have a lot of authentic food products, fruits and vegetables from Mexico. They also serve an amazing bowl of Menudo on the weekends!

Thanks so much! We will be taking a day trip to Toronto on the weekend and visiting all the cool stores we found here. Even if there is no epazote we would looove to see what other products and fruit and vegtables they have since we have been wanting to make some specialty Mexican foods, but can't find the right ingredients!
Thats a shame about them not being able to remember the last time they had some fresh, but thanks for calling!OhCanadiana said:That's true - I should have clarified it isn't broadly available
Just so we don't all call Tierra Azteca, they don't have any epazote currently. They have dried epazote "cuando nos traen" and "a veces cuando tenemos suerte nos traen fresco pero no recuerdo la última vez que tuvimos"
