I'm on the same boat!

My husband got the letter saying we got transferred to Mexico, but medicals are not done, and we sent in biometrics early November.
is super fast processing.... August 2019 and yet at Mexico i wouldn't complain ...Majority of us waited like 6-8 months in 2019 before been sent.

Hi all,

So kind of a bad experience even though the application is approved. Waiting on my wife's COPR because unfortunately the Mexico VO made the mistake of never updating my mailing address. I submitted a Webform, send them a reminder through e-mail more than once, and they even asked me to provide proof that I was back in Canada, yet they failed to update the address every time.

So what happens is that I sent the PPR documents to CPC Ottawa, and followed their directions stricltly for the section of what I'm supposed to do if the applicant is in Canada, and lo and behold they not only ignored the letter that I attached, but also wrote on top of the pre paid express post envelope that I sent with my current address, and tried to forward it to my old one which was in the US. So obviously, Canada Post returned it because the envelope was a regional one only.

In any case after being on the phone with CIC many times, they finally updated my address. Lesson learned is that even though my application was OUTLAND, I should have called CIC directly and followed the prompts for inald application (it's the only way to get ahold of them really), because they do update any information in real time through the phone and they seem to be more helpful (or maybe they just felt bad for me).

I'm hoping that after doing what they requested they are able to resend back the COPR, but it's been a frustrating month after everything was going so smoothly :(

Ugh mexico does soo many mistakes... it will be solved, but yeah Calling is mostly the only way so things are done correctly.

I'm not complaining, I am slightly concerned that I haven't been asked about the medicals, but I was very surprised they sent it to Mexico already.

sometimes is good , sometimes isn't

they have 2 ways to work :

1 ) Doing a lite verification and requesting Mexico to do the most of the BGC there with eligibility and all

2 ) Doing the majority of the BGC in Sydney and then ask for Eligibility Mexico at the end.

Ahh ok thanks!!!

My main concern is that I just found out that I am pregnant, so I can't do the x-rays, and I'm wondering how much this will affect my application. I'm due mid-july, and our timeline is for August 2019. :S

You meant August 2020 :)

You should tell them those details right away. Pregnancy is something to mention

None question is stupid :)

You wish to report important changes regarding your application, such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in address, changes in employment, acquisition of a new educational credential, results of an approved language test.

(I would tell them that the birth is planned for _________ (estimate the date around) and by the same time asking them about Medical exam how and when it was planned to do so ?

Yes Webform if your case is at Mexico

Here's the link.

Hi all,

Our file just got transferred to Mexico (no AOR 2 yet). The weird thing is we received and completed biometric request but we haven’t received a medical request yet. Is this normal or something to worry about? Also, there is zero information on ECAS other than that they received our application in August.
Medicals took 9 months for my wife and son be patient they will come .

Also it’s better not to get asked to early on for medicals . We did ours in early January , interview next week ..... and if they don’t extend those medicals , looks like we have to pay yet again because no way passports will be back before those baby’s expire
