Couldn't have said it better myselfmrandmrsromero said:@ Kazza: As far as I know, the location of marriage is not a factor in the process. The only things that really matter in terms of immigration are that (1) the relationship is bona fide; (2) the marriage is legal; and (3) that you can prove it!
Note: I say the above assuming you plan to apply outland Mexico City after you get married. I don't have any idea about inland applications/work permits, etc. so you may want to check out the CIC guides and other threads on the forum dealing with those type of scenarios.
All the best with your plans.
LV1234, yours must be coming soon, they got the email today that the interview is march 22 in Mexico City!lv1234 said:Will do..
Hi BCMOM! I haven't actually had to do an interview before and we haven't gotten to that point. However I do know there are lots of good tips if you search the form "interview" from the family sponsorship page. I know I've read through tons before (just can't think of the tips at the top of my head)Bcmom72 said:If I can get some input!!! That would be great! My son in law has an interview date in Mexico City March 22!!!! A few questions....what should he expect? they have asked for more photos even though we sent in lots....which is just fine...Will a decision be made right away typically?! Should they wait in Mexico City for the issuance of the passport etc...and past experiences tips would be appreciated!!!!

They won't make a decision at the time of your interview as far as I know that has to be a written approval or denial. Sometimes they say they've approved the interview and keep the passport, sometimes they say nothing and give it back... Whatever they do or say, try not to read into it too much as everyone's experience has been different in this area as it's up to the VO what happens.
Goodluck to your son in law!
