so i have a question where and how my wife in canada can contact her MP for help.. now our process is done through Quebec. so does it means she have to contact an MP in Quebec? or is it ok for example to contact the one in Ontario? (like Ottawa or gatineau)

really appreciate any info thanks

Hey! You should contact the MP in the area where the sponsor resides.

Here's a search engine to help you do it! They will be keen to talk with you. I've always found MP's to be very sensitive to the needs of their constituents.
Best of luck!

Do they help PR holder the same way as citizen ? as PR holder can't vote so not very useful for them. Just wondering how has PR holder experience with MP ?

THanks

They will help you all the same! Even if you can't vote now, you're a potential future citizen as well as a taxpayer. You may one day be useful for them. And they have a duty to you as well because of this!

Not to divert from the original poster:

I've seen that other people have had success with using MP's to get somewhere with their apps... is this mainly for inbound applications? What benefits have other people had using MPs? :)

Thanks!

Hey Nitzan. Outland applicants can also benefit from an MP inquiry. They can't interfere in the decision making process (though they can sometimes testify to the character of one of their constituents), but they can often get some more detailed information on a case that CIC are will to give. While they technically can't speed anything up, they can sometimes ensure that CIC "relocates" a file that has fallen by the wayside.
