'MEDICALS SENT'-------London CHC------Waiting for Next Stage (probably PPR)

Hi Paniz,
That is a bummer! I am a London applicant waiting for my passport request, however, my file is in Ottawa and they are dealing with it from there. I wonder if they also have those types of time frames.

My wife passport going to expire in march 2011. i have already done my medical.
should i renew my wife passport now or i should wait until reply by canadian embassy.
If they r asking passport any time, what is a minimum validity of passport require?

From what I understand from some other forum members posts, once your E-cas status gets updated to 'Medical Results have been Received' you usually receive a PPR soon afterward. I would really love to think that you will receive PPR as soon as you submit your police clearance report.

This is more than one year that my e-cas status updated to "Medical results have been received".
Nobody knows except GOD , what happens in LDN !!!

Canadian immigration visa will be valid for one year from the DATE OF MEDICAL for landing into Canada. If you have not received your PPR till now..better opt for new passport application otherwise your visas will fall into "WHICHEVER IS EARLIER CASE". I mean if passports are expiring in less than one year than your visa will be valid till the date of passport expiry which is hardly six months from now only.

Suggest to move for new passport and submit only new one for visa stamping.

when i received medical request it was mentioned there "Allow us 2-3 months for medical processing" did u get the same thing in your medical request....? or any body else get the same thing....?

I also got the same sentence when I got Medical request. ("Allow us 2-3 months for medical processing")

I have done the medicals on 15.09.10 and hope that by 15.12.10... my ecas will change to "medicals received"...

Hello,
I did not get anything like that on my medical request.
Does that mean that they need 2-3 months to process, or 2-3 months to request passports.
I was told by them that all these medicals have to be checked by Health Canada first, and I know that mine have been sitting with them for 2 months now.
On the other hand, other applicants are being told not to expect passport request until Dec or January.
So confusing!
I think I will write to them at the end of the month to ask if my medicals are still with Health Canada or with the Immigration Officer.
