Hello Guys,

Since I profit from this forum, I want to share the latest development on my case with you all. I am November 2010 applicant, and I sent an email to Catherine in Buffalo to inquire about the status of my applicatin, since it has been more than 16 months of waiting, so she answered me almost three weeks after.

Her answer wasa very clear and calming:

Good morning

Your file is with an officer for final review so it should not be much longer now before you receive a request for your passport.

wish you all the best.

Barhoom, I am december 2010 applicant and still waiting, i will really appreciate if you can share an email address of Catherine in buffalo at [alr166@gmail.com]. I will really appreciate that.

Thanks in advance.

Affi

Hi. My spouse has been in the US for less than 6 months at the time of the application. After 1 year, they emailed me asking for her FBI police certificate. Can this document be waived?
Thanks,

You don't have to submit FBI verification if your spouse's residence period in USA is less than 6 months since her age of 18. Otherwise you have to submit FBI verification.

It seems to me that your spouse's residence period in USA was less than 6 months at time of your application and now it is more than six months. In that case u need submit FBI verification.

Well, they need to verify your details. They replied to me stating its in queue and no precise time can be given. Its nearly 15 months now for most of us and no word... Dont know how long will it take?

Hi Everyone

I would appreciate for your suggestion in my case.

My PGWP work permit expired on 28th April, 2012. I got it renewed before its expiry but I have not updated Buffalo about it yet. Should I send them by mail? or I can upload through Case Specific Enquiry?

My-Ecas Shows

We received your application for permanent residence on January 24, 2011.

We started processing your application on February 23, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

I receive initial assessment email on 23rd February, 2012. I received my last GCMS notes on 15th April, 2012. It shows Eligibility Passed, Medical Passed, Criminality In Progress. A Group Named "PR-Final Review" was created with a due date 1st June 2012.

I contacted MP office and got exactly same update from them as I got in GCMS notes. The guy from MP office mentioned your file will be reviewed on 1st June and Background Check is not complete yet.

I would appreciate on your suggestions for sending my renewed work permit to Buffalo.

I would just upload it through case specific enquiry and let them know the new work permit. 1st June is a fair bit away and I wonder why its taking so long. If they check your file and do issue PPR on 1st june thats more than 16 months!!

You should let them know. I scanned my new work permit and sent it to the visa office by email. They gladly added it to my file and acknowledged. BTW, I am an April 2011 applicant awaiting PPR. Meds done in Dec.

I don't know either.15 months will be in few more days and 7 months since file got transferred. This is ridiculously killing all of us.Well, like old saying:- patience is virtue. I have just renewed my work permit. Do we have to send them a copy? I think they would know by our client id number.

bcimmi - where did you send your application? And are you a Provincial nominee or federal skilled worker?

Thank You Sharuu and bcimmi, I uploaded my new work permit through Case Specific Inquiry and also asked for status update.
