So I just landed....!!!
I got my PPR on Wednesday, Feb 22... I was busy on that day getting pictures, bank statements and making other preparations for my trip to US.
I left from Toronto at 5:15 am on Feb 23 and reached Buffalo via Peace Bridge. I reached the Canadian Consulate at 7:15 am at One HSBC Centre. The receptionist asked everyone coming to wait at Tim Horton's and someone from the consulate would take us up there shortly. At about 7:45 a person from the consulate took us to the reception again and we were given visitor's tags and were directed to the 30th floor. There were a few people before me at the counter. My passport and pictures were submitted well before 8 am.
Then the dreaded wait, we weren't allowed phone's either, so it was boring.... at around 9:30 our numbers started to be called out. I got my passport with PR visa stamped and COPR at about 9:45. I could have landed soon after, but I had to go elsewhere in US.
Later that evening, I got to Detroit-Windsor tunnel (after a really long drive) and then landed. I was asked absolutely no documents except my passport and COPR. I was asked general questions about whether I'm importing anything, etc. In about 10 mins, my passport was stamped and I became a PR.
