when did you did your medicals? good luck

Hi, we had our medicals done in July 2011.

This is our status on Ecas-

Application received 7 December 2010

Starting Processing 24 Oct 2011

Medicals received

It still shows in process

Our Office is Buffalo

It has been a very slow process for us. Much slower than a lot of the newer applications that I see going thru nowadays and ours was a very straightforward case I believe, no criminal record, only lived in our country of birth and Canada, with no medical problems for anyone. I am hoping for PPR for all who are approaching the 15 month point. It is very stressful and can consume your whole life.....

Hi Tanoshi,

Did you get your PR card? I am still waiting for that to come by, been nearly 7 weeks now since i landed. Is there any way i can track it's progress?

Did you mail your passport to Buffalo for visa stamping?
How much time usually they give you to finish the landing formalities?

I have received the PPR and about to mail my passport to Buffalo.

We have roughly the same timelines dude, my ecas says the same thing. I THINK it used to say "We have started processing your application" and then there was the big system update around Dec 17th and it got removed after that. I could be wrong though.

We sent our passports on Monday, which was the day we got the request. They arrived there today at 10am, so will I keep everyone updated as to how long it takes to get them back. The email request advised us that we have 90 days to send the passports in (like we are going to wait that long!). We have paid for them to come back to us via Canada Post Xpress mail. Passport were sent to Fort Erie. Some people have told of problems with Canada Post, but we have sent everything with them and have had no problems. The email gave very specific instructions regarding how to post the stuff and the options about sending them back. We also had to include two photos for each of us (Permanent Resident size) and a note of each persons height and eye colour.

If it takes a month to receive your passport from them, you may have 60 days left in your IMM Visa in order to land. They make it time-limited when your medical is going to expire soon. FYI, medicals are generally valid for a year and CIC tries to complete everything (from medical receipt to landing) within this period.

We have similar timelines. But I didnt see "in process" ever in e-case,

I wonder if that really matters?

I have no idea dude.....I could have just imagined that it said "We have started processing your application" although I'm 99% sure that it was there. I'm not too worried about it. Personally I don't think it makes too much of a difference. I was looking at trackiit and the majority of cases seem to take about roughly a year before they get PPR so I'm not expecting anything before then and if I do get it before then, I'll count myself fairly lucky.

Re: "Medical Results have been recived" and after how many days you got ppr guys

Its going be 1 year next for me since i applied, so lets see. I think there a bunch of Jan-Feb applicants still awaiting, so dont know. I have seen two different kinds of cases for being IN Process. One case where it goes In process pretty early around the time when you receive AOR and in another case just before you receive PPR. I have also seen people get PPR with status Application Received. There is no conclusive evidence that says which to follow... I think it depends on the VO. If you guys have not already I think you should get the GCMS Notes.

I don't think I'm going to get the GCMS. Less stress the better. It won't speed the process up for me anymore either way if you get me. I don't want to get them, find out I'm still back at the early stages and get really pissed off ya know?
