Is it just me or is anyone else noticing that Buffalo seem to be making their way through the applicants a small bit faster now?
hi fenster...yes it is..i am 2012 applicant..what Buffalo does now is avoid the 2012 applications to their office...CIO Sydney and CPP ottawa does opening of file and MR...they will send back to Buffalo after all the work...so applicants until Nov'11 might get the PPR request in the coming weeks...buffalo is trying to concentrate on the backlogs with them..so pending 2010 and most of April-Nov 2011 will be getting the good news soon before April'2012.....and then comes the music for 2012 applicants...Fenster said:Is it just me or is anyone else noticing that Buffalo seem to be making their way through the applicants a small bit faster now?
How do you know this as a matter of interest? That'd come as a massive relief I'm sure to pretty much everyone on this website.prasamp said:hi fenster...yes it is..i am 2012 applicant..what Buffalo does now is avoid the 2012 applications to their office...CIO Sydney and CPP ottawa does opening of file and MR...they will send back to Buffalo after all the work...so applicants until Nov'11 might get the PPR request in the coming weeks...buffalo is trying to concentrate on the backlogs with them..so pending 2010 and most of April-Nov 2011 will be getting the good news soon before April'2012.....and then comes the music for 2012 applicants...

i might not be 100% right..but the centralized intake office at sydney,NS does this for all applicants from dec'11... no more mailing your applications to visa office...everyone has to send it to NS..they verify the completness and send it to CPP-Ottawa and they send AOR (for all applicants) and MR for applicants(if VO is buffalo)...for eg: i submitted my application on jan 5th.. 2012 i received my AOR and MR in Feb itself..thats not possible from Buffalo in dream also..so buffalo is using these as satellite office to do this work..Fenster said:How do you know this as a matter of interest? I wonder then why has the processing time increased from 14 months to 15 months?prasamp said:i might not be 100% right..but the centralized intake office at sydney,NS does this for all applicants from dec'11... no more mailing your applications to visa office...everyone has to send it to NS..they verify the completness and send it to CPP-Ottawa and they send AOR (for all applicants) and MR for applicants(if VO is buffalo)...for eg: i submitted my application on jan 5th.. 2012 i received my AOR and MR in Feb itself..thats not possible from Buffalo in dream also..so buffalo is using these as satellite office to do this work..
what VO does is completely the security and background check...seen in other threads April'11 applicants getting their PPR..sure you can see some progress within a month for sure...Buffalo is now relieved from opening files for new applications etc...my gut feeling that work itself is big...that will help buffalo save more time to look into in process applicants...if you are still not sure you should send CAIPS notes request or you can do case specific enquiry...your case its almost 10months now..no harm to do if you havent done one before..but if you have already sent one..refrain from doing it...
thanks
we need to understand that processing time in CIC site correctly...if we read it completely...they say it as time taken to complete 80% of applications...so its not that each case should be 15months...some can be 5months, some can be 10 and some can be 15...that too that number indicates the time it took for previous year and not the current year...so we cant really rely on that too completely. As you are aware there is lot more work that happen behind...background check, security check etc... so each case is different...but try to be optimistic...you are nearing your PPR...good luck!Fenster said:I wonder then why has the processing time increased from 14 months to 15 months?
Yeah that's what I'm hoping. I've kind of set myself a limit of August by when I hope to have everything completed. That way I can't be too disappointed and frustrated. Good detective work out of you thoughprasamp said:we need to understand that processing time in CIC site correctly...if we read it completely...they say it as time taken to complete 80% of applications...so its not that each case should be 15months...some can be 5months, some can be 10 and some can be 15...that too that number indicates the time it took for previous year and not the current year...so we cant really rely on that too completely. I guess, without trying to sound smart or rude, it means exactly what it says. Basically they have received your documents but just have not yet reviewed them yet as they are in a queue. I think your case sounds very similar to many others on the forum so I wouldn't worry mate.shahzad0786 said:i have done my medical in november and sent bank statement and RPRF in dec, my e-case is showing medical recieved and address has been dis apear so sent them an email
in reply i got this
