from the date you submitted updated documents request, Security BGC take 06-12 months, if your BGC already passed then your VISA is due but if not then it may take maximum of 3 more months, i.e approximate date must be March 2014 for your visa issuance. NEKEOL

How do I know that my BGC has done?

Thank Nekeol. I submitted our passports last Saturday, 4 Jan 2014. Hope they expedite the stamping and sending so I can have enough time to prepare and fetch my family in the Phils.

applying is not an issue passing medical is issue. u can apply but at thae end doctors will check HBsAg
and at that time if docotr is not satisfied they will fail the whole case and refuse entry on medical grounds.

I did my first medical examination then I asked for specialist in liver disease ... at the end , the doctor said to me " your liver in good condition and you don't need any treatment ... all you need is dual annual check for you liver function and ultra sound scan .

Normally medical received line appears for GCC residents only,
so you can consider the expiry of medical (1 year + 1 week from the medical done date)

The assumption about the date is possibly correct but the presumption that it appears only for GCC residents may not be!

the date when Medical received line appears in the system.

I beg to differ with you Nekeol.

I am keenly following the timelines of many of my friends from the same applctn & medical periods.
Even in my case the medicals were done on 7th Mar but the Medicals recvd line appeared almost a month later.

Now I am sure my Visa expiry would be somewhere between 7-20th March max which would be my medical expiry date approx.

I am not an expert and these are only assumptions based on my observation of the timelines of various forum members!

I did my medicals on 26 Nov 2013 at Ludhiana. DD was encashed on 07 dec-2013. Till date medical line is not added and status is in process.

Ok andamanhunk, I agree with you, in LVO since Online medicals are there, most probably MR line appears with in Two weeks. and MR is Passed in the GCMS. the date when the MR is Passed OR Ok in the GCMS same day is considered as Medical DAY for visa issuance.
