thanx fr d info sir,
but whT actually gcms is ????

GCMS means "Global Case Management Systems". The Global Case Management System (GCMS) is Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC's) single, integrated and worldwide system used internally to process applications for citizenship and immigration services.

Refer to these links for more exhaustive information about GCMS:

In continuation to my above reply, I searched online for an answer to your query and here it is - Effective 4th Feb 2012 the processing has changed due to the migration from CIAPS to GCMS. Hence, all cases processed in the GCMS would be issued COPRs wiith IMM 5688 while those processed under CAIPS system will be issued with IMM 5292. Hope this clarifies. Please refer to the below link for detailed official information/bulletin released on 8th March 2013:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob379.asp,

and this realted link too:

Hope this explains and clears the air now!!!

Thanks for the research time you put into this :)

When are you landing?

Not to fret. PPR should be 1 to 2 months after Medical exams and RPRF.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding medicals and eCAS.
So I did my medicals on December 4th, 2013. I didn't see an update to my eCAS and called the CIC call center. I was told that the results were received on December 30th and the application is still in process. It is January 14th today, and I still don't see an update to my eCAS stating that medicals have been received. Do you find this unusual or do we have other such examples?

I think it doesnt matter because i got PPR-1 on 10-Jan-14 without update medical line added in e-CAS :)..

So dont worry

Can anyone guide me here.
I got PPR1 today. They only asked for passport copies and the updated info chart which I already filled.I need to know which file number I need to write on the evelope and there is no signature require on the chart form?
After that I am all set to courier it today.
Thanks
