Dear Members

I need urgent help regarding passport specification. I got email from London Visa Office Stated
This application is now ready for visa issuance. Please follow attached instructions.

In the instruction of passport specification

"For your visas to have maximum validity, all passports should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of your medical examinations"

Problem : My spouse passport is going to expire on 15th Oct 2013 my medical date was 19th Feb 2013:

Is this requirement is only for maximum visa validity or passport must be valid for 12 months.

I already applied the passport for her but due to situation in pakistan passports will take some time and LVO gave me 30 days to submit the passport

Please guide me should I send the same as I am intended to travel in July 2013.

Thanks in advance

Regards

badar,

you got PPR1 or PPR 2 recently ....I think there is a gap between PPR1 and PPR 2

If you got PPR 1, then submit the PP copies and till that time apply for new PP on urgent basis.

Dear Badar,

Congrats for ur PPR,

IMHO u are good to have ur visas with this passport, the only draw back is that u will have to travel before the expiry date of ur spouse's PP.

This instruction is to facilitate us to have maximum validity of the entry visa, and not to bound us.

That is my opinion, plz confirm it!

Regards,

Nashe

Hi Coolguy

I am residing in Saudiarabia there is not PPR1 and PPR2 for residents of KSA. So I have to send the passports with in 30 days. Secondly i already applied the PP a week ago but due to elections in Pakistan they gave time for 25 days for urgent passports.

Wow I think its some lucky day for me today I just send an email to ldn and got reply with in 10 minutes I think I am dreaming today please have a look at below reply

"If visas are issued on current passports all expiry dates will be 15 October 2013 due to expiry of your spouse's passport.

If you intend to all travel in July 2103, it would not matter, but your spouse would have to use the old passport which contains the issued visa. If she obtains a new passport before going to Canada, all visas then become invalid."

We can allow additional time to submit passports if required.

Yeah Saleem
But another question came across my mind. New Passport will come by mid of June 2013 for my spouse and as mention in email If she obtains a new passport before going to Canada, all visas then become invalid."

Should I ask for more time or should I send same and I will not collect passport from Passport office since we reached canada?

Regards

Badar

Hi guys
I just got reply by email from LVO states that:

"Background checks are likely to take several months to conclude. We cannot expedite these checks and will contact you when they are complete. Please do not send repeat representations in the meantime."

So when i can get PPR please & any one get same reply???

all depend upon ur plan to travel. If you don't want to travel in this year, then u can ask them extend the due date
