is there anyway one can speed up the Medical portion of their PR process and not have to wait for say 2-3 months for that ? by simply taking the medical exam a month or two earlier ?
Fow FSW outland, the Med phase is extremely fast, some of them take only days, while for inland applicants, takes at least maximum 2 months. I guess this is due to the processing time of each VO or even the clinic. Like for some clinic, they usually only send all the medical results to IRCC once a month only, so if you take your exams on, let's say, January 1st, your results won't reach IRCC until 30 days later.

In addition, IIRC, Canada and Australia are sharing the same medical database system, so all your medical exams will be sent to Australia first, before they are sent back to IRCC in Canada.

That's actually an interesting thought. I know not all countries have laws protecting the sharing of medical information, but as an American who has worked for years under HIPPA laws, that makes me wince.

Haha, because when I signed some paper in the clinic, it has a paragraph describing how the eMedical system works. I should have taken a pic.

I actually found the consent form here:

http://www.joseignaciorestrepo.com/images/sitio/pdf/visas/canadaa/Consentimiento.pd f

More info:

http://immigrationmedical.ca/emedical.html

eMedical is the government-operated online system, designed for submitting medical reports of immigration examinations, lab reports and X-rays. This electronic system of processing immigration medicals was first introduced by the Australian government for their own immigration program. Since the Canadian immigration system is very similar to the Australian, Canada joined eMedical in 2013 and now both are operated cooperatively from a server located in Australia. New Zealand also joined in 2014. The medical branches of the respective governments access the data and make their determinations on that basis.

Only for their citizens, not immigrants. The Western nations share their intel all the time.

thats a good point , considering this i think i should ask the clinic people when they send their reports to IRCC and get it done accordingly .

Just curious on what is the value of early medical as the document processing time cannot be less than medicals processing time any day? Is it eagerness to get it done / know the results early?

What I meant is when the overall processing time happens to be around six months anyways to get a copr, why is it needed to have medicals done early? Even if it takes one month or two months to get meds results, it would still be lesser than overall processing time right? Does medical (assuming normal results) delay overall processing time or what

One related question.. Can someone submit the documents after seeing the medical results, provided the result comes within 90 days?

No, as medicals have to be submitted along with all dox.

All the dox and meds are part of eAPR submission.

thats the whole point of this thread , i was wondering if we get the medicals done early (before ITA) then is there any possiblity that it will reduce the wait time when it comes to Medical portion of the PR application , because i have seen people writing on these threads that they are waiting for medicals to pass for 2 + months and such .
