Thanks for your info!
But, you are able to login, through, while I'm still not able to...
Wish you receive AOR and test soon! :D

Thanks and good luck to all

Hi below is my timeline in ECAS

Rec'd - May 5
Sent Booklet - May 5
Received Actual booklet - Aug 13
Started processing - July 8

I have a question for you guys. I will be moving from Newfoundland to Calgary in September but I can retain my address in Newfoundland so that my case would be processed faster.

Newfoundland timeline is 6-9 months while Alberta is 18-24 months. What is your suggestion guys?

Thanks

Where are you getting that data from?

As for location -- are you willing to travel back to NL for your test and then again for your oath?

if it helps to save months, why not. $ cant buy time

Thought I just share my case:
Called CIC again. Was told that they still cannot locate my application nor link with my payment receipt number... they are currently processing June 12th applications.
One agent told me to wait for one more month and call them back. He said they have "new standard" 6 months before applications start to be processed..
The second agent advises me that application might be returned (although no record/note suggests that in their system), and could be lost during the return post... He suggested me to submit a new application...

I guess I have just wasted 3 months...(was able to login to ECAS 3 weeks ago for 1 day.., and could not login again every since)
Anyway, I'm going to submit again tomorrow..

So sorry to hear that fanboy. Question - when you logged into exas 3 weeks ago, did you see your old PR application saying 'complete'?

I ask because that's how mine was, then after about 2 - 3 days my ecas was no longer active. After about 2 weeks my ecas became active again and I could see they sent me the book + AOR.

It's possible they have returned it, but it seems it takes a long time between when Canada post picks it up/mails it. My AOR + book were sent July 11th, I received them last week(almost a month after).

Go through a copy of your application again, and see if you missed anything that could cause them to return it. Otherwise, it is better to just send a new application with a cover letter explaining the reason for the 2nd application. You don't have to pay the fees again.

The other thing you can do is go to your MP (Member of Paliarment) and get them to make a inquiry into the location of your application. You can say that the application package contains everything which in the the wrong hands could enable someone to assume your identity and it is a concern. If it was delivered to CIC(take proof of delivery with you), then where is it? Be polite but express how you feel about it. If you like, you can write it in a letter and take with you. Once the MP inquires, it should get a few fires going, and they will either confirm it is "lost", returned, or being processed, or whatever.

I would suggest u wait a bit longer to find out exactly what happened. Some ppl waited for more than3 months for ecas show updates. I wouldn't send a 2nd application until I know what result a unsuccessful result in the first one. Just my 2 cent. Good luck

I disagree. For the couple of dollars it takes to send it a second time (you're not paying again -- just paying CanadaPost again), send a second one in.

At very least, there should be record of them having received it, even if it hasn't been opened yet.

Hi Fan boy,

I would request you to wait couple of weeks. It happened to me - I sent my application on May 1st, received by CIC on May 5th. When everybody else who sent after me had their Ecas active, but not mine. I called CIC and they replied exactly the same answers/suggestions as yours ( waiting or resend)

Luckily after waiting for a week, I could see my Ecas active. I was also thinking of sending another application. Before that, I double checked with FEDEX that they actually delivered it.

So many things happen in Sydney so waiting little bit is okay. I understand the anxiety but request you to wait and call them in between.

Good luck

And in addition, if something is wrong in the application, you might have received it by now ( as seen in the case of applicants whose applications were returned with in a month or the max one and half months)

So, just wait and follow it up with CIC.

Cheers.

Man I feel bad for you Fan Boy :( You and I were date received homies and I had hoped all would be well, I have my fingers crossed for you that your ECAS will be active soon and that the freakin' thing isn't lost or misplaced. Wish I could help Pal :'(

Thank you so much for your suggestions and best wishes, everyone!
When I was able to login ECAS on July 27th Sunday, I could see my PR app as complete. I then updated my address in the system, but cannot login any more from the next day.

SenoritaBella and WE LOVE CANADA,
During your time waiting for ECAS login, did you by any chance ask CIC to verify your payment receipt number? Mine is not linked with any application yet. I understand when the PR app shown briefly means that CIC should have opened/touched my application. And, if the app was returned, there should be some note in their system.. Everything is just not adding up...

I'm at 81 days mark now. I plan to wait 1 more week until I become the longest waiter in our list. If nothing happens, I will send a 2nd application on Monday.

Thanks!

'Received' Line disappearance : August 18, 2014
but In the process line they added this :" We sent you a letter on August 12, 2014. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the letter before sending us additional information, as the letter will outline all information that is required. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

What that could be ?

From the forums, it seems like the Received line disappears either when the background checks are completed or more documentation is requested. It looks like the line disappears when a case officer has picked up the file for review. In this case, it looks like more documents have been requested.
