exeptional case

Or it could be the sign of things to come... :)

It depends on the local office's schedule as well.
But I'm sure that this is a positive effect of the new C-24 processes (although this law is 'Evil', you've got to admit it has some good sides ;)).

Lol @ 'evil'... I still haven't received AOR and likely won't receive it since I have the test notice... now this makes me question - does AOR come from CPC-Sydney or local office?

If CPC-Sydney sent the AOR on July 11th(as I was told by CIC call centre), it's already a month now and it's not here. lol.

So I'm beginning to think the AOR comes from local office(i.e. they send on behalf of Sydney). This is the only explanation I can think of - no need for AOR since I have the test notice. Unless CPC-Sydney can stop mail in the middle of the delivery process? lol

Not sure if it helps, my AOR was dated June 27th, but it wasn't mailed until August 1st, per the stamp on the envelope. I'm not sure whats going on with the mail room, but to sit on a letter for more than a month is a bit surprising to me. Maybe your AOR is still waiting for the post man to pick it up from Sydney ;-)

You are probably right... very strange process... oh how I would like to have access to a typical day/week in the life of a CIC officer! :D

They probably sub-contract their mailroom to CanadaPost. :)

Still cannot login...
Called CIC yesterday, was told they have not started my application yet and I can call them back in 2 weeks to check...
They said if the app were returned there would be some note in the system.

What ref number do you guys use to login ECAS? UCI?

Hi Fanboy,

I typically use PR Card number or Client ID Number. PR Card number on the back of your PR card. Client Id number is there in COPR ( Confirmation of Permanent
Residence) form and also on Front side of your PR Card.

CIC agent asked me to put in Client ID number without hyphen when searching in Ecas. Hope this helps

Anyone in the May thread received the Booklet / AOR by mail yet?

I did not, so I sent an email and asked for a new booklet. This was after they started processing. I guess they either did not send it initially, or it got lost in the mail.
