I agree it's absolutely messed up.... I have a few friends on PR in Canada and they said to try emailing the MP as a last resort....we weren't expecting much but atleast the MP s staff responded...and yeah am just assuming her intervention helped ( it did prolly help but I hv no proof as she never replied again ) .... and when she told us our status she said that it was on eligibility review however our official application Status was stuck on background check... so basically these ircc agents had just forgotten about our application
Can we mail Canada Mp from India? Or only people in canada can do that mail?
My friend is in canada and he is in 4th semister. Can he write email on our behalf? Or PR only can send mail?
Please advice?
because I have only one week to get ppr.
Thank you

Lo
so means even though I'm not in Canada right now, but I can contact the MP of the area I'm going to live/study/work?
Ok atm it's just an assumption that contacting your province MP might help, email only when the official processing time is over. And there needs to be some sort of accountability , how can these agents just sit on our files , hell just reject our applications and get done with it, atleast don't waste our time. We waited more than 3 months and had almost given up ( felt so depressed ) .

That is so messed up... am so sorry bro....try emailing your province MP ( cry your heart out in the email ) and hopefully that might help. Thing is these days even withdrawing the file takes forever, so what can one do. On top of that, the ongoing strike might make matters worse.

So the question is, even though I'm not in Canada right now but I can still email to Canadian MP?
We should email to the MP of the area where we are going to live/work/study right?

Of course u can, can't hurt , right ? Tell them in concise your whole case and how your application is stuck way past the official processing time. Also mention your application details like the various nos in the email and hope something good comes out of it.

Update from me
I see on tracker, under history this:
21st April Update : We received the information you sent us. We’ll review it and let you know if we need any other information from you.

previously as of 19th April:
Bio was PASSED
Medical Passed
Eligibility Passed
BGC: In progress

GC Key shows:
Eligibility and BGC both as In Progress

anyone else see this?

Hey @trkm93! Weirdly enough, our applications were also both updated for me and my husband in our trackers on April 19. For me, the Biometrics has changed to "Complete" and for my husband the Biometrics has changed from "Not started" to "In progress". Since the strike started on April 19, that got me wondering whether the updates on our profiles were specific to our application or all SP got some kind of automated step forward as a last effort on the IRCC side before they went on strike. What do you guys think? Has anyone else had their profiles updated somehow on April 19?

@trkm93, in your case, since your Eligibility is "Passed" that is a wonderful sign! I think this is practically PPR already! You should receive it really soon! :D

BTW, is it just a coincidence that your profile got updated or you had written to an MP already and the issue got resolved in one day? :p

About update on 19th April, the tracker itself got updated so definitely everyone got updates. Though there will be difference in statuses.. like for myself and my wife our biometric was in progress, eligibility not started medical passed and BGC in progress.. all got updated after 19th April update.
BGC still in progress but other 3 for both of us changed to completed. Eligibility was shock for me as it got updated directly from not started to Completed.
I am hoping the same what you're saying is true about eligibility I just can't wait to get our PPR

About Emailing MP, no I didn't do it I thought to wait for a couple of weeks first.

This 21st April update is weird to me cause I never sent any documents but looks like they are working on my application. Hoping to see some updates in coming week.
