I am also waiting for over one month. I gave a call to IRCC. They sent a message to expedite it after recognizing that it is delayed. The current processing time is 18 days according to the website.

We called today too, the agent simply verified all the info and told us to be patient (SMH).

How long has it been since you called them and they added the note to expedite? Just want to understand if it is really helping speed up the process.

It starts with 9. Once you get your COPR it will start with 1. If thats what you are asking.

If you already had your SIN before, It will remain the same, only expiry date will change.
If your spouse came on visitor and received SOWP and you are applying for first time for SIN, your SIN will start from 9XX XXX XXX
Once you become permanent resident, you should get new SIN number which will start with 1. And your old SIN with 9 will be revoked.

Writing to bring hope for some people! I just received my eCoPR after what seems like a forever of waiting. Applied 5th May 2024, P1 was 6th Feb, P2 10th Feb and eCoPR 2nd May 2025. Today, I celebrate, tomorrow I start waiting for the PR card
