Hey thanks for this I watched this and the documents make sense. But I talked to an agent and they mentioned a lot of extra documents like financial stuff and relationship proof etc. thats is why I am confused.
I want to know has anyone applied using this list in the video and got the permit?
This video helped me, but TBH, I only submitted my own interpretation and understanding of the checklist I got on the IRCC (GCKey) portal when I started the application. They took their own time but the application was finally approved.

Do you remember what all documents you uploaded? Like were they from the video or anything else extra that should also be uploaded? Please if you can help thanks

@Tushar04

First of all, it has been quite some time that I went through the process so I am a bit foggy on both the process and the contents of the video.

Second of all, to answer your questions, I only have a vague recollection of what I submitted, but yes, we submitted proofs that the sponsor is employed in a stable job and in good standing with CRA by filing taxes. We also submitted our marriage licence with client information letter to prove that we are part of Spouse or Common Law Partner in Canada class. Otherwise we duly followed what was asked in the checklist.

I am not a certified/approved agent nor I have any legal basis so please do not consider this as legally sound advice. Exercise every caution and follow all rules before completing and submitting your application. IRCC is fair in their judgement, so if you follow the checklist properly and they still need something additional from you, there is also a procedural fairness step that the case officer applies before making final decision. You must regularly keep checking your application portal and email after submission in case there is request for additional documentation.

Hopefully this helps you.

For my wife’s Open Work Permit application, we included the following additional documents under the Client Information PDF. Please note that this is based on our specific case, and your required documents may differ depending on your circumstances. I highly recommend reviewing the IRCC guidelines or consulting with an expert to confirm the necessary documents for your application.

Here’s the list of additional documents we submitted under Client Information PDF:

  1. AOR for Inland Sponsorship Application – Confirmation email.
  2. Proof of Submission for Inland Sponsorship Application – Email with the subject "Your Permanent Residence application has been successfully submitted."
  3. Official Receipt for Spousal Sponsorship Application – Payment receipt.
  4. Proof of Valid Temporary Resident Status
  5. Marriage Certificate
  6. Sponsor's Canadian Passport
  7. Applicant’s Birth Certificate – For identity verification.
  8. Applicant’s National Identity Document – As an additional proof of identity.
  9. Digital Photo – Back side of the photo showing the photographer’s information, as per IRCC requirements.
This is what worked for us, but requirements can vary, so it’s always a good idea to double-check! Wishing you the best of luck with your application!

There is no need to specify financial documents or prove your relationship for open work permit if you already applied for inland spousal PR and got your acknowledgement of receipt (as far as I know). You already did tjay for the pr application. You just need to include the email and specify the code in the applicaiton. However, I did this months ago so I dont know whether anything changed sincd then.
