I got my P1 and P2 three weeks ago and I replied to them promptly, but I still wait for them to issue my eCOPR. I know that the official processing time was 12 months (Now, it says 24 months!), but I don't really understand why it takes so long to issue once all stages are officially done. Some people wait for months. Probably there is a reason for it. I saw April applicants getting their eCOPRs quickly before Christmas. So, I assumed we could get ours at this point, but I guess it is not always strictly consistent. I don't even know how long it takes to get the PR Card.

What was your status updated to on the tracker once you got the P1 and P2 email?

Yeah. I'm also wondering how long after P2. There are some people waiting from November and December for eCOPR, not sure what their application date is. There also seems to be a pause on BGC completion/P1/P2 for Mid May onwards.

They haven't updated the status on the tracker but send P1 and P2 once the background check is done. Never thought it would take months for these things, but one of the threads say there is a huge backlog. My assumption is that they just slowed things down intentionally to be align with their planned quotas

You're 1000% correct and these are unionized employees. They have no incentive to work faster; considering many of them are going to be laid off they want to make this as painful as possible.

1. typo. I think you mean 100%
2. There are new lower immigration quota to be applied in 2025 and I think that's more likely the reason.
3. Even if the call centre employees will be let go, I don't think they are trying to make you painful. They probably won't go the extra mile to try to find out more info other than what they are told to provide and have access. And according to the news, majority of the numbers to let go would be contracted jobs not union jobs.

Many who got their p2 in Oct are still waiting for eCOPR. They are holding off "landing" to make sure that they don't exceed the lowered target...

1. No I mean 1000%. Hyperbole.
2. I don't understand the sentence. Terrible grammar.
3. See #2

I'm an April 2024 applicant but my timeline is probably closer to the May applicants, because IRCC chose to let me know that I have to re-do my medical exam after background verification is completed, which set me back for a month.

Now my new medical got a pass two weeks ago, so all four sections of my tracker are completed. However, I haven't got final decision or COPR number yet, and there has been no update since two weeks ago.

If anyone's on the same boat, please feel free to share. Wish everyone waiting good luck!
