What’s the next step after LPP complete? Does the tracker say “Decision Made” or they just send the oath invitation letter?

As a next step, the Citizenship ceremony changes to in-progress and the citizenship date is updated in the tracker. In a couple of days depending on office, you get the oath invitation letter.

Hi, I have been asked to give biometrics in the tracker on August 26th. But i havent received any email or instruction letter (though the tracker says so)
What should i do ? Do i have to wait ?

If the Fingerprints were requested on Aug 26th, you should have received the email by now. Can you check your spam folders? If you still don't find it, please call IRCC today as you need to complete citizenship fingerprints in 30 days if it came from Vancouver office.

It takes a day or two and since we had long weekend you can expect further delay of 1 or 2 days.

I tried calling but I only get automated citizenship status. There is no option to connect to an agent. I have submitted a web-form today. Is that enough or should i still contact IRCC ?

97 new Canadians. Representing 24 different countries. Good luck to everyone!

My journey is over. Certificate is in my possession. Still have to apply for passport, but it’s “pleasurable” chore now.

i would suggest to keep calling, you need a few tries before you can connect to an agent, try right at 8 AM when then open or between 3-4 PM just before they close.
Webform takes more time for them to take a look at, sometimes 20-30 days so best to call them.

Today I received an update that my Prohibition is marked as complete on 30th Aug 2024. Now waiting for Oath invitation.

Awesome, that is great to hear, I am still waiting. Thank you. Hopefully I will see some updates. I am travelling in November and hoping to get this done before my travel.

The contact us section of the test invite PDF has the email address of the processing office, which helps us identify the office.

It has been more than 2 weeks since LPP complete.
I havent received any info about oath or any other next step.
I wonder how much time it usually takes after LPP complete.
I was thinking to raise a webform not sure if that will help.

Thanks for the reply. I did check my junk folder too. No luck. I will call them. But just curious, why do they ask for biometrics for citizenship application? My husband wasnt asked to submit his.

They check your name, DOB against the RCMP database for criminality. When there is a partial match with someone on the DB, they request for fingerprints to make sure we are not the one on the database. Sometimes they also request fingerprints for quality check of the process integrity.
