May 2022 - Citizenship Applications

My wife received applied for Citizenship and AOR was received in May 2022. So far there is no update - the online status shows "in process".
We are waiting to see if we get Citizenship Test invite and nothing received so far. Can anyone explain how you followed up when you did not receive any update/communications from IRCC? Do we need to call the customer service numbers to get the udpate. Actually we are having hard time to reach the customer service M-F during regular work hours.....Any advise or suggestions on how to proceed would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you.

3 months is not really a lot of time to expect movement on your wife's file, especially if she's an online applicant. If she is paper applicant, she may expect some movement, but its not always a certainty. I am not sure what you can do at this early stage other than maybe call to check status?

luckily did not have to followup till now, IRCC have been updating the portal, i just log in and check atleast once a week. Again depending on paper versus online and then case to case basis timelines might vary. I am actually surprised at the progress considering current average processing time for citizenship applications as per IRCC is 27 months.

My wife received fingerprints request on August 5th. We submitted hers on Aug 8th. I am guessing we should hear from them by next week if the current trend remains the same. I am seeing people get roughly 4 weeks before seeing an update for most fingerprints request.
