Hello,

I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but my status can be updated in the spreadsheet.

My application status and the language skills, prohibitions, and physical presence now show as "completed" as of Sept 9. So right now the dashboard shows everything completed except for citizenship ceremony "not started". ECAS shows "decision made". Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I took my test in April. My ECAS still showing in process and I have not received any further communication on this. When I took the test, it indicated that I passed. Is anyone else waiting for such a long time just to find out if they accept the result? Does this mean there is an issue with the test result? Going on 6 months now.
Thanks!

Wooh wooh, why the rudeness? It was a simple question and that’s what we do here. We ask questions, try to guide and help each other. If you don't want to answer questions APPROPRIATELY OR AT ALL, then why join the forum. Yall people are annoying sometimes for no reason. You want to come on here and ask questions to benefit you but in turn be rude when asked a question and that not good.

There's no tone in internet discussions. It was eloquent of you and I did not mean nor use any strong word, and I wasn't addressing you.

Edit: however this may be understood, we are probably talking among a few, and more, new citizens here. Quite sure that it's only the beginning of whatever that any would define as their new life or sth. May I see you again in the passport discussion or just about another discussion of life here.

The second point of interest is how far ahead it was moved. The third is your processing office.
3 days earlier and in fact under 48 hrs... I am not sure if there was an actual named office so I'd have to assume one/any one in Toronto.

There is no need for you to see me in the passport discussion. Tones can be interpreted by sentence structures and im sure you know this. Have a great day and all the best to you.

In my culture, it can go like
acquaintance A, or classmate B, or stranger C: "don't you hear me? I am speaking." / (since I am the only one that you talk about right now, so) "if it isn't me you are talking about, who else?"
and no one would have taken offence.

I am also sure you know we are most likely from different cultures.

The only rudeness I can see is from your end. Buddy not only said he didn't mean no harm he also conveyed your success (may I see you in passport discussion - a way to say goodluck with your process ) Also his answer was pretty straightforward considering different cultures have different ways of responding. Canadians come from different backgrounds and we must not assume based on texts as English is contextualised differently in various cultures.

I said what I said.

Delay might be due to background check. Not all officers allow to take test before its complete. Apply for gcms notes to see if any notes available on why its pending.
I got gcms notes today. Not sure where exactly the relevant info are though.
On page 2 of the gcms under the assessments it has the following: Knowledge: [blank], Residence: Not started, Language: Blank, Prohibition: Not started, Criminality: passed. On that same page under "CLEARANCE Request" it say "RCMP: Y".

On the citizenship application status dashboard I have the following: Language skills: in progress, background verification: in progress, prohibition: in progress, physical presence: in progress.
Is there any particular section in GCMS that could provide more details on where things are?
Thanks!

I heard that if rcmp is fine and background is still "in progress" means its pending with csis. Sorry i dont have straight forward answer for you.
Dont think gcms shows the pending csis requests for all but have seen some redacted notes on security but possibly its not entered for all i guess.
Next stage you should try is to get gcms from csis. THis will clear up our doubts on background check.

Thanks for info. Will look into GCMS for CSIS. In the current gcms under the ASSESSMENT section on page 2 it says "Security: [Blank]". Does anyone know if that's the same as csis check?

Its same for me as well. So its not that it seems.

I completed my test on Saturday Oct 2nd. Any idea when I can expect the test show complete on the portal ? For some reason I feel my ID was a bit blurry when I was taking a picture, I hope that doesn't cause any issues.
