Hi Admin @shazahsan @JuanDC,

Update:
I received request for finger prints on June 30. Does everyone receive fingerprint requests or is it random applicants only?

Thanks
Regards
Mahyn

Hi,

Its very random for fingerprints. Not everyone gets it. Have you done your test yet? Is your BG check still in progress? Does your new tracker shows FP required? Sorry for asking so many questions.
I am in a similar situation. Just trying to make sense of it. Thank you.

Hi all! Looking for little help, applied in May 2020 for citizenship but given the delays I applied to renew my PR card inearly April 2021 as it's due to expire in August 2021. I haven't heard anything from CRA about my renewal application. Should I except at AOR or see it alongside my citizen application in the portal?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Huh? CRA? Do you mean IRCC because I am fairly certain that CRA doesn't process PR card renewals.

People have mentioned that you should see your PR card application on ECAS. If you don't see it there, add it manually to your IRCC account.

As far as i know, you would see it in old ecas status portal. Once you received AOR for pr renewal, it would show both citizenship and PR card application together. after few weeks of PR card sent, the pr card application will disappear.

I dont know if it would appear in new tracker because my pr card got done before that. Eitherway, i think that it would appear only after you AOR for PR card. So wait for AOR for pr card application first.

Processing time for PR card is more than 3 months. As they finish processing PR card within few days of AOR, you would get your AOR in 3 months. I assume that you are yet to wait for 3 months hence AOR should come this month. Or track your PR card application movement in correct thread to know which date range they process currently.

Is anyone else from the May 2020 cohort starting to worry about why May applicants seem to be so slow. I had anticipated possibly taking my test in August but I am now beginning to doubt this will happen. Looking at the tracker May applicants are falling way behind. September applications are far far ahead of us May folks! Would you think it might be worth raising a webform or asking a local MP to put in a query. I am just so keen to get on with this now!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm still waiting for my test date but I had a small question if anyone else is in this situation. I applied May 2020 with my current UK passport expiring in Feb 2022...now Feb 2022 is kind of fast approaching and I'm curious if there is an amount of time that needs to be left on a current passport in order to process my citizenship application? If I apply for a new one should I just send an updated copy to IRCC via a webform? I was going to wait until Novemberish time to apply for my new passport but I'm thinking maybe the sooner the better?

Hiya,
With all the variants popping up everywhere I could apply to renew my passport ASAP. But that is just me. UK is about to completely reopen and I would be concerned about the impact that might have on the workforce. Its no harm to apply early! Then again I am a nervous Nelly about all these things!! We have the same timeline so lets keep an eye out for one and other!!! Good luck!
