I believe PCCs are supposed to be submitted upfront now. It's part of the checklist.Application for PR and work permit sent on May 21.
Are we supposed to get the police clearance certificate beforehand or is IRCC going to request it later?

I have not submitted my wife's PCC as its still under process with our consulate. I included a letter stating that we will be submitting it at a later stage when we have it. In the letter I stated my wife's PCC application number which is under process at the consulate, and provided them with proof of payment and application status by screenshoting tracking page. Hopefully they consider it.Application for PR and work permit sent on May 21.

Have you considered applying for an extension of your visitor's visa?
I know we did that for me - just in case. It was lucky that we did, as our application got returned, if we hadnt've done that, I would've been out of status. Not that I'm saying it would happen to you - I hope it doesn't! But it's something you guys should consider applying for.
Yes I believe you can. We did the extension application before we even sent in our application. I've seen some posts that say it's much easier to get a visitor's extension approved before you submit your application. As opposed to getting it approved when the application has already been sent in.Can we apply for extension eventho we dont have the PR application number or AOR yet?
I sent mine which I got in January while in Russia. I live in Canada since February, so now I wonder how it s going to work out as most likely by the time they start reviewing my application my Russian PCC will be past 6 month (so technically invalid) and would they ask a new one from Russia or the Canadian one as I would have spent more than 6 month living in Canada by that time...Application for PR and work permit sent on May 21.

You'd want to include the Russian police certificate with the application if you're applying inland. They will request the certificates on your behalf for the Canadian ones. At least, that's what the new document checklist seems to say.I sent mine which I got in January while in Russia. Yes, I sent an original Russian PCC+certified translation, just hope they wont ask me for a new oneYou'd want to include the Russian police certificate with the application if you're applying inland. As long as you didn't go back to Russia after getting the PCC (even tho is from January and you came here in February), there is no need for another one.Yes, I sent an original Russian PCC+certified translation, just hope they wont ask me for a new one
I was wondering the same thing. Indian PCC is also only valid for 6 months and I remember my lawyer telling me we'll be needing it later so don't worry about it right now. And now I see a lot of people already included theirs with the application.I sent mine which I got in January while in Russia.
