If I were you, there were a few things that I would do (but only my two cents)

- Go to this website https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do, use your UCI (Unique client identifier) to check if an AOR has ever been issued on your citizenship application. UCI is the Id No on your PR card if you don't know. If the citizenship application has been issued AOR or in process, the results will be returned.

- If nothing returned from ECAS, call IRCC one more time to have the latest update on the application if an AOR has ever been issued or if your application has been returned?

- If ECAS didn't show anything, and no luck in getting helpful information from IRCC, I would just submit a new application with an explanation letter.
i tried first 2 steps with no hope

Do you call them again? I called a week ago but they told me the same thing. that they have the file if they need something else they will sign me. I asked why I had no AOR they say it's not open yet. I understand nothing
i'm calling every month, and they told me the same they have my envelop but not open yet.

6 months and waiting for AOR is really strange. Here are two things you can do besides submitting a new application :

a) Go and make a complaint at this link

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/feedback-retroaction/feedback-retroaction-eng.aspx

b) Write a registered snail mail with signature addressed to the CIC address in Sydney and wait for 2 weeks, then contact CIC agents and let them know about your case and your letter.

Then, you could submit a new application. Before you do anything, check the ECAS and also check if you by mistake entered a wrong date of birth digit.

Hey guys, I received my test invite EMAIL on Oct 25th (already been updated), but I checked my online application and it says

"We sent you a notice on October 9, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on November 14, 2018 at 1:15 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us".

I still haven't received any physical mail, so do I need to call them? On the pdf attachment that came with the email, it says to bring "this notice" so should I just print it out and bring that?

Both of us passed our test with full marks (20/20) today(11/07) . Was really easy. The officer told us that its approved and would take 2 months for the oath invite later.

P.S: My ecas status is still in "In process" line, the line for test invite or its status is not updated yet. Not sure why.

Hey do you mind sharing how you studied for it? I've just been reading the Discover Canada book online but I'm finding it difficult to really keep track of what I should know.

I first read through the whole "Discover Canada" book then took lot of practice tests from this site http://www.canadacitizenshipstudyguide.com/member/canadian-citizenship-practice-test.php.
Really helped me. The actual citizenship questions were much easier for me than whats in these tests.

My husband and I took the test at the same time (I was seated at the front and he at the back purposefully by examiners) but surprisingly he got a completely different question set than me. His was harder than mine.

Status changed to "Decision Made" on 11/08. Please update the sheet.

Husband wrote the test today and passed. Officer said they requested entry records because CBSA didn’t stamp his entry when we returned from a vacation, but said it shouldn’t be a problem.
