today i checked ECAS randomly. Havent checked it in a while. under pr status it says decision made! i had checked mycic before checking ecas but nothing had changed there. currently we were in the PPR stage and my husband just sent his passport to the visa office yesterday. is that normal for ecas to show decision made before mycic?

Hi taniam00,
Something strange happened with our application too. My husband got the PPR request on October 12th (he sent the PP on the 18th) BUT today (Oct 27th) the background check is "in progress", nothing else has changed on ECAS or myCIC for quite some time.

Is anyone else having trouble linking paper application to online account? My husband lives in Vietnam so I submitted our application in Canada and our application has been in Singapore since August 2016. Is this kind of application able to link? I see conflicting information on the CIC website about which applications can and can't link. Thanks!!

Hello fellow May applicants,

Here is a confusing situation...
I usually don't check my Ecas often as they really don't change. I usually check MyCIC a lot.
So its Friday night here and was watching game late night and thought let see the Ecas today.
I see for my wife's Ecas says (PR side) "Decision Made"!!!!

Didn't believe it so went to check mine (sponsors) Ecas: Both side says "Decision Made"!!

But I haven't got any PPR email/MyCIC message though!

What that could be???
Please advice....

Hi gyz,

I just got an e-mail from Singapore asked me to send Police clearance Certificate of UK and India as i was in London and India for about 4 yrs in each Country.I have submitted BD PCC with the application.
However, I already have the other two PCC from each country with me.

So my question here:

> Postal address of Singapore to send my PCC ?
> Should i include any additional paper to write my CASE Details (Sponsor & Sponsored person name, Case number, UCI etc.) or Can i just mention it on the envelop of my parcel ?
> How soon do they start processing after getting the required DOC they are asking for ?

Thanks in advance and i really apprecialte if u gyz cud help me with the above questions in details.

OK, hyperventilating here! I think we have official approval of PR. Can anyone clarify, please? This morning, I received an email (I'm acting as my wife's representative) indicating that the "processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete." We have been given 30 days to submit passports and new photos so they can "conclude our application for permanent residence in Canada." Is that as official as it gets? Are we approved? lol I haven't been able to link our application in MyCIC at all (problem on their end), and ECAS still indicates "In Process" on my wife's side and a date of August 18, 2016. If this is approval, I'm super impressed that it's only taken 5 months!

As an aside, the request is for passports OR travel documents. Ukrainians have the typical foreign/international passport, but my wife also has something she calls her Ukrainian "passport", which seems to serve more as a national identity document and used when traveling around Ukraine. Should I have my wife submit both of these passports?

they didn't ask for anything to be honest i paid the full 1040 upfront, and tried to put as much information as i could on the app
